This day, 35 years ago, marks the passing of English singer
and songwriter and former member of The Beatles, John Lennon.
(Born John Winston Lennon; Oct. 9, 1940 – 8 Dec.19, 80)
John Lennon was an English musician who gained worldwide fame as one of the members of the Beatles, for his subsequent solo career, and for his political activism and pacifism.
He was shot by “a deranged American gunman” (I refuse to use his name) in the archway of the building where he lived, The Dakota, in New York City on 8 December 1980.
Lennon had just returned from Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono.
After sustaining four fatal gunshot wounds, Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at Roosevelt Hospital. He was 40 years old.
At the hospital, it was stated that nobody could have lived for more than a few minutes after sustaining such injuries. Shortly after local news stations reported Lennon’s death, crowds gathered at Roosevelt Hospital and in front of the Dakota.
Lennon was cremated on 10 December 1980 at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. The ashes were given to Ono, who chose not to hold a funeral for him.

Set in a 3D space, with a plain white background and usually no backdrops, it is about Pocoyo, a 4-year-old boy, interacting with his friends Pato (a duck), Elly (an elephant) and Loula (a dog).
“IOTD” is image of the day, a concept I came up with. I teach visual meditative therapy – or in easy terms – a mini mental holiday. For some people it is very difficult for them to get their image right. I post an image a day for people to use in their mini mental vacay. Some are serious, some are silly, and some are just beautiful!”
Dance to the music
under the stars at night.
Dance to the music
of all time lullabies.
Dance to the music
of your own beat and rhythm.
Dance to the music
that your own heart has chosen.

I found out about this awesome talented painter last night. I was traversing through the highways of social media and there is was. This awesome video.
There’s not much information about the artist except the link to her social media.
I think that this is so perfect to address the current world issues, the wars, the conflicts, the killings, the terror. World Peace Day was “celebrated” a few days ago.
Emerson student Jody Steel draws on thigh, gains fame
By Christopher Muther GLOBE STAFF
Students, ignore everything your parents, teachers, and professors have told you and listen carefully: Doodling in class can make you a star.
At least, that is what it has done for Emerson student Jody Steel, whose remarkable drawings, usually on her right thigh, have won her buzz, hundreds of thousands of views online, and job offers.
Since starting at Emerson College in 2011, the Florida native has been using her leg as a canvas on which to produce portraits of Bryan Cranston as Walter White in “Breaking Bad,” Radiohead singer Thom Yorke, and “Don Jon” actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Celebrity crushes, favorite television shows, and an occasional cat have found their way onto her leg as she carefully draws with a Pilot Precise V5 pen during class lectures.
The delicate shadings of her work bring to mind a series of pop-culture chiaroscuro sketches. They are documented on her iPhone and then lost to the ages with the help of soap and water.
“Completely unexpected,” Steel said of the attention. “Obviously you always hope your art will be seen, but I wasn’t expecting it to go so big and international.”
As her doodled masterpieces went viral, they became international curiosities. The story was picked up by websites in France and Britain and in newspapers across Europe. Now a website in Brazil is touting her talents. She has posted many of these stories to her Facebook fan page.
For ways to help people of recent tragedy who may be thousands of miles from where you are, be sure to look into their local International Committee of the Red Cross organizations.
Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organisms into beings who have only one purpose: to serve history’s most despicable masters.
A Pet
A pet is a cuddly little thing,
Joy and laughter it will bring.
If your pet has way too much fur,
Expect it to bark or maybe just purr.
A pet could become a very close friend,
Treat it nice, lots of love it shall send.
It has the potential to cheer you up,
Right from the start, just like a pup.
Pets are wonderful, they’re all unique,
They understand you, make sure you speak.
Don’t forget to love them dearly,
They’ll love you back, lots and sincerely.

Jupiter Ascending is a 2015 American-Australian space opera film written, produced, and directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski. Starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, the film is centered on Jupiter Jones (Kunis), a down-on-her-luck cleaning woman, and Caine Wise (Tatum), an interplanetary warrior who informs Jones that her destiny extends beyond Earth.
Supporting cast member Douglas Booth has described the film’s fictional universe as a cross between The Matrix and Star Wars while Kunis named its underlying themes indulgence and consumption.
The film was co-produced by Grant Hill, who acted as executive producer on The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions and as producer on V for Vendetta, Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin and Cloud Atlas, making Jupiter Ascending his seventh collaboration with the Wachowskis.
Several more longstanding Wachowski collaborators since the creation of The Matrix films have contributed to the picture, including production designer Hugh Bateup, visual effects supervisor Dan Glass, visual effects designer John Gaeta, supervising sound editor Dane Davis and costume designer Kym Barrett. Other notable past collaborators include Speed Racer’s composer Michael Giacchino, Cloud Atlas’ director of photography John Toll along with its editor Alexander Berner and hair and make-up designer Jeremy Woodhead, who worked on both.
~~Plot~~
In the story, Earth’s residents are unaware that life on Earth and countless other planets has been seeded by families of alien royalty for the purpose of “harvesting” the resulting organisms at a “Darwinian state of perfection” to produce a type of youth serum for the elites on still other planets.
After the death of the matriarch of the House of Abrasax, the most powerful of the alien dynasties, her children Balem (Eddie Redmayne), Kalique (Tuppence Middleton), and Titus (Douglas Booth) quarrel over the inheritance, with Balem inheriting an enormous production facility on Jupiter and Titus declaring his intention to dismantle the youth serum trade, of which Earth is the next intended source.
Protagonist ‘Jupiter Jones’ narrates that her father Maximilian Jones (James D’Arcy) met her mother Aleksa (Maria Doyle Kennedy) in Saint Petersburg. After Maximilian is killed by a robbery, Aleksa names their daughter Jupiter, after his dying wish, and they move to Chicago to live with Aleksa’s family.
Many years later, Jupiter (Mila Kunis) works with Aleksa and her Aunt Nino (Frog Stone) and cleans the homes of wealthy people. To buy a telescope, Jupiter agrees to sell her eggs with the help of her cousin Vladie (Kick Gurry), under the name of her friend Katharine Dunlevy (Vanessa Kirby).
At Katharine’s house, Jupiter and Katherine are attacked by extraterrestrial ‘Keepers’; and when Jupiter photographs them, they erase her memory of the incident. During the egg donation procedure, the doctors and nurses are identified as Balem’s agents, sent to kill her; and she is saved by Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-soldier sent by Titus.
Stinger Apini (Sean Bean), an old comrade of Caine’s, agrees to help Jupiter; but a group of hunters take her to Kalique’s palace on a distant planet, where Kalique explains that Jupiter is genetically identical to the dead matriarch, and therefore heir to the Earth. Supported by Captain Diomika Tsing (Nikki Amuka-Bird) of the Aegis (an intergalactic police force), Caine retrieves her from Kalique, and brings her to the planet Ores (the intergalactic capital city) to claim her inheritance.
On the way back to Earth, Titus detains Jupiter and Caine. He reveals his plan to marry and then kill Jupiter and claim Earth before throwing Caine into the void, but Caine survives and saves Jupiter at the altar. Jupiter asks return home; but her family has been taken hostage by Balem. In his citadel in the Great Red Spot, Balem demands Earth in exchange for Jupiter’s family. Realizing that Balem can “harvest” Earth only if she signs it over, Jupiter refuses. Balem tries to kill Jupiter; but she defeats him in a fight.
She escapes and is rescued by Caine, Stinger, and Tsing.

Jupiter’s family is returned home with no memory of her disappearance, while Jupiter secretly retains ownership of the Earth.
Her family buy her the telescope she wanted and Caine is granted a pair of wings earlier removed from his body.
From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, “Jupiter Ascending” tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things.
“On such a day each road is planned To lead to some enchanted land; Each turning meets expectancy. The signs I read on every hand. I know by autumn’s wizardry On such a day the world can be Only a great glad dream for me Only a great glad dream for me!”

Imagination … perspective. It depends on the eye of the beholder.
Everything in life is about perspective: When we look through the open mind and heart we’re able to feel the essence of what we’re looking at. And it is while we’re feeling the essence; it’s as we’re tuning into the substance in all forms that the forms become insignificant. All concepts, beliefs, and perceptions simply are no more and only what is real remains — only life.
