RACIST, SEXIST, MYSOGYNIST, HEARTLESS

You don’t have to be a Republican.

You don’t have to be a Democrat.

All you have to be is a human being.

There’s compassion for the fellowmen and women.

There’s charity for the needy.

There’s also a law known as the “Americans with Disabilities Act”.

There’s the “Golden Rule”.

Mainly there’s common sense.

This man truly believes that he’s above everyone and everyone.

He doesn’t care about badmouthing or disrespecting anyone. Remember the Mexicans, John McCain, Megyn Kelly, “illegal immigrants, Jorge Ramos, Black Lives Matter …. and so many others.

The list is endless.

HOW LOW CAN HE GO?

Donald Trump Slammed For Mocking Disabled New York Times Reporter Serge Kovaleski

Speaking at a rally in South Carolina on Tuesday night Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump seems to mock New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has a chronic condition called arthrogryposis which affects the movement of his arms.

Trump imitates Kovaleski while defending comments he has made over the past few weeks, asserting that members of the Muslim communities in New Jersey celebrated following the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers in 2001.

The New York Times has slammed Trump’s actions as ‘outrageous’.

(This is not direct discrimination, it’s lower than that).

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) is a law that was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1990. In 1986, the National Council on Disability had recommended enactment of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and drafted the first version of the bill which was introduced in the House and Senate in 1988.

It was signed into law on July 26, 1990, by President George H. W. Bush, amended and signed by President George W. Bush with changes effective January 1, 2009.

The ADA is a wide-ranging civil rights law that is intended to protect against discrimination based on disability. It affords similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964,[4] which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, and other characteristics illegal.

LOOPHOLES AND TAX “SHELTERS”

10 Big Corporate Tax Breaks, and Who Benefits

U.S. corporations — like many Americans — exploit every available rule in the tax code to minimize the taxes they pay. The United States has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world, at 35 percent (not including any state levies), yet the actual amount in corporate taxes that the government collects (“the effective tax rate”) is lower than those of Germany, Canada, Japan and China, among others.

The reason is confusingly called “tax expenditures,” a doublespeak term designed to legitimize special interest tax breaks and loopholes.

With advice from the Urban Institute’s Eric Toder, one of the country’s foremost authorities on corporate tax policy, we assembled the 10 most costly corporate tax loopholes and who benefits from them.

Graduated Corporate Income

Inventory Property Sales

Research and Experimentation Tax Credit

Deferred Taxes for Financial Firms on Certain Income Earned Overseas

Alcohol Fuel Credit

Credit for Low-Income Housing Investments

Accelerated Depreciation of Machinery and Equipment

Deduction for Domestic Manufacturing

Exclusion of Interest on State and Local Bonds

Deferral of Income from Controlled Foreign Corporations

Beating The War Drums For Iran: How AIPAC Is Splitting America

Nowhere are the dangers of partisan disunity more apparent than in the United States’ handling of foreign policy, especially when it comes to Iran and the forces working to maintain it the latest boogeyman of U.S.

A dispute over American foreign policy in the Middle East is prompting an unprecedented schism between the executive and legislative branches.

Nowhere has this split been made more apparent than in the open letter sent by 47 Republican senators to the leadership of Iran on March 9. One faction of the U.S. government wants to maintain a policy of destructive regime change and isolation of Iran and its allies, while the other is considering a more moderate approach that starts with a nuclear deal and ends in potential peace between longstanding rivals.

TCartoon

According to its author, Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, the letter was meant to educate Iran’s leaders about the nature of the American constitutional system so that Iran does not believe an agreement made by it and the P5+1 nations (the United States, China, Russia, France and the United Kingdom, plus Germany) will be binding.

Yet the letter was actually intended to destroy those negotiations, an outcome which fits squarely into the policies of Israel’s Likud Party government, which won Tuesday’s elections. Headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Likud Party has influence over the actions of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a pro-Israel lobby group.

Indeed, Open Secrets reported that Cotton received hundreds of thousands of dollars from pro-Israel donors, including over $900,000 from the Emergency Committee for Israel, during his election campaign.

According to MJ Rosenberg, Cotton’s letter was likely written by AIPAC.

While the anti-Iran coalition may seem like it’s backed by every Senate Republican, it is not. Seven of the Senate’s current 54 Republicans refused to sign Cotton’s letter, revealing a more level-headed approach to an issue that is being promoted among partisan lines.

Those seven senators deserve to be named for not following the herd and goading the U.S. into another war in the Middle East. They are Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Dan Coats (Ind.), Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), Robert Corker (Tenn.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska). Col. Lawrence B. Wilkerson(Ret.), Secretary of State Colin Powell’s chief of staff from 2002 to 2005, described them as “The Magnificent Seven” in a recent Huffington Post article.

“Many of the 47 who did sign the letter followed the herd instinct to hurt the president and now wish they had not,” Wilkerson wrote. “I commend, however, most strongly the seven. They refused to join the herd no matter the thundering of its hooves.”

The Weasel and the Woodpecker … for real!!

WPW

~~March 5, 2015~~

WEASEL FLYING ON WOODPECKER GOES VIRAL

Amateur Photographer Martin Le-May just captured one of the most amazing
photos ever caught on film. He and his wife were at Hornchurch Country Park
in the UK on March 2nd when a baby weasel decided to hitch a ride with a
woodpecker.

BlackBor

A photo of a weasel riding on the back of a woodpecker is causing a flutter on social media, not just for the original photo, but for Photoshopped amendments.

The original image was snapped Monday by Martin Le-May during a walk with his wife through Hornchurch Country Park in London, England.

The image has sparked a surge of interest online, being retweeted thousands of times and a hashtag of #WeaselPecker created on Twitter.

A variety of spoof images have been posted

I found the article mentioned above this morning, after I saw the graphic shown above. The other amendments I’ve seen are pretty funny. However, this one is the winner (in my eyes).

In spite of the “satire” and humor intended with it, it seem right on point after the hoopla about Israel’s Prime Minister (BiBi) was “covertly” invited to address Congress after breaching all established protocol.

House Speaker John Boehner set up his most dramatic (stupid, to me) foreign policy confrontation with President Barack Obama to date, inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak about Iran before a joint session of Congress on Feb. 11.

Netanyahu is a fierce opponent of the emerging U.S. nuclear agreement with the Islamic republic and has served as Obama’s foil, of sorts, as the negotiations have progressed.

And his visit to Washington seems mostly for optics: When it comes to Iran, many Republicans and Democrats in the Capitol seem more closely aligned with Netanyahu than with Obama. The Israeli leader has addressed Congress twice.
