RACIST, SEXIST, MYSOGYNIST, HEARTLESS

You don’t have to be a Republican.

You don’t have to be a Democrat.

All you have to be is a human being.

There’s compassion for the fellowmen and women.

There’s charity for the needy.

There’s also a law known as the “Americans with Disabilities Act”.

There’s the “Golden Rule”.

Mainly there’s common sense.

This man truly believes that he’s above everyone and everyone.

He doesn’t care about badmouthing or disrespecting anyone. Remember the Mexicans, John McCain, Megyn Kelly, “illegal immigrants, Jorge Ramos, Black Lives Matter …. and so many others.

The list is endless.

Donald Trump Slammed For Mocking Disabled New York Times Reporter Serge Kovaleski

Speaking at a rally in South Carolina on Tuesday night Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump seems to mock New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who has a chronic condition called arthrogryposis which affects the movement of his arms.

Trump imitates Kovaleski while defending comments he has made over the past few weeks, asserting that members of the Muslim communities in New Jersey celebrated following the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers in 2001.

The New York Times has slammed Trump’s actions as ‘outrageous’.

In 1986, the National Council on Disability had recommended enactment of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and drafted the first version of the bill which was introduced in the House and Senate in 1988.

Ricky Martin Joins Anti-Trump Effort, Nixes Charity Golf Tourney from Trump’s Golf Club in Puerto Rico

Ricky Martin is not only a world-class singer and performer, but he’s also a philanthropist, a supporter of marriage equality and gay rights. When he heard Donald’s hurtful comments about Mexican immigrants, he couldn’t allow himself to be professionally associated with someone who preaches such ignorance and negativity to the world.
Martin has pulled the annual Ricky Martin Foundation charity golf event at the Trump International Golf Club Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, according to a press release.

The Puerto Rican Grammy and Latin Grammy winner is joining the anti-Donald Trump movement along with Macy’s, Univision, NBC Universal and Televisa as well as fellow entertainers Roselyn Sanchez and J Balvin in cutting off business affiliations and/or ties to Trump.

Martin’s tweet was sparked by Univision taking the initiative to drop the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants after the Republican candidate’s derogatory campaign speech.

“When Mexico sends its people they’re not sending the best,” Trump said. “They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems.

They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime.

They’re rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they’re telling us what we’re getting.”

The avid social media user, who has millions of followers, first shared his thoughts on Trump’s out-of-line rant, denouncing his comments on Twitter.

“A lot of hatred and ignorance in your heart,” Martin wrote in Spanish.

“Hay mucha ignorancia y odio en tu corazón”.

Donald Trump Kicks Univision Off His Golf Course

The Trump-Univision feud had its source in the real estate mogul’s verbose presidential campaign announcement on June 16 in New York City in which he complained about rapists and other criminals allegedly coming across the southern border from Mexico.

A huge backlash resulted, and Univision subsequently announced that it was terminating its business relationship with Trump’s firm — including pulling the plug on broadcasting the July 12 Miss USA Pageant — because of the reality TV star’s “insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants.”

In a letter to the Spanish-language network today, Trump notified the company’s CEO that Univision employees are no longer allowed to use the Trump National Doral resort or golf course which is a neighbor to Univision’s Miami campus. He also told his counterpart to close the gate between the two properties.

Trump’s letter to Univision contained this postscript

“Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States.

However, inform them that should I become President, those days are over.

We are bringing jobs back to the U.S. Also, a meaningful border will be immediately created, not the laughingstock that currently exists.”

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected.
