BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury for the band’s 1975 album A Night at the Opera.

It is a six-minute suite, consisting of several sections without a chorus: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda.

The song is a more accessible take on the 1970’s progressive rock genre. It was reportedly the most expensive single ever made at the time of its release, though the exact cost of production cannot be determined.

Adele is one of my favorite musicians, performers, songwriters, singers.

She is one of my favorite people.

Her sense of humor, her cussing language and her compassion, all speak to me.

Her reaction during a sound failure is priceless!

This happened in April 2016.

The Genting Arena, host to large music concerts, is part of the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) complex located in Birmingham, England.

The 16,000 capacity Genting Arena was the largest multi-purpose arena in the UK when opening in 1980 as “The NEC Arena” and is still a major popular venue for many large, international touring acts.

Together, the NEC and the Genting Arena host over 3 million visitors each year.

~Adele Sings ‘All I Ask’ A Cappella After Sound Failure at Concert~

Proving that she’s a true professional with the voice better than all your faves, Adele powered through her performance of “All I Ask” like a champ on Saturday (April 2, 2016) in Birmingham, England after the speakers abruptly cut out.

Around two minutes into her song, sound for her microphone and piano went out and forced the 28-year-old to sing a cappella in front of the sold out crowd. Without missing a beat, the songstress went on – joined by the audience singing along – to finish the song.

After the performance, Adele revealed that she had no idea that her show had suffered a technical difficulty.

“Why did you all start cheering mid-way through. It scared the life out of me. I thought there was a streaker on stage. What was that?” Adele asked the crowd. “The sound went off? The PA fucking cut off?

Well, it didn’t cut off in my ears. I could hear myself.”

She added about lip syncing claims,

“Tell them I wasn’t miming. They might think I was miming, I wasn’t miming.

Every fucking show I sing live!”

I had never watched any American political convention.

They were too much for me.

This confirmation was obvious when the RNC happened last week.

However, I watched bits and pieces of this one on Monday.

What a breath of fresh air!

Last night was awesome ….

Watch Celebrities Sing ‘Fight Song’ at the Democratic Convention

A group of celebrities performed an a cappella version of Hillary Clinton’s campaign song for a video showed at the Democratic national convention Tuesday night, July 26, though it was not exactly pitch perfect.

Introduced by actress Elizabeth Banks, who also hosted the second night of the convention, the three-minute video featured actors and musicians—not all of whom could hit the notes exactly—performing Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song,” a popular pop song adopted by the Clinton campaign at its rallies.

The video drew on Banks’ role in the a cappella “Pitch Perfect” movies while referencing the popular will.i.am-produced “Yes We Can” video from 2008 featuring celebrities singing along to a Barack Obama speech.

A number of the “Pitch Perfect” cast pitched in, including singer-songwriter Ester Dean, Ben Platt, Kelley Jakle, Hana Mae Lee, Shelley Regner and John Michael Higgins. Actresses America Ferrera and Eva Longoria, two Clinton surrogates who spoke at the Democratic convention, also make appearances.

Pentatonix Reveal “Can’t Sleep Love,” Their First-Ever Original Single

The laid-back tune is the lead single off the famous a cappella group’s new self-titled album, which will be comprised of all original material

Pentatonix have exploded past a cappella circles to become platinum-selling superstars who tour with Kelly Clarkson. The vocal quintet are looking to brighten their star even more with the first-ever album of all-original material. The debut taste of the self-titled record came today via the doo-woppy lead single “Can’t Sleep Love.”

Premiered alongside its colorful and artistic music video, “Can’t Sleep Love” is an easy-breezy tune detailing the adorable feeling of being too excited to fall asleep when you’re digging someone so hard.

Musically, Avi Kaplan and Kevin “K.O.” Olusola give vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado a bumpin’ beat to serve laid-back, pitch-perfect harmonies on top of. The result is a sweet bop of a tune that will could fit on radio with the a cappella arrangement bringing something fresh to the listeners’ ears.

Scott added

“We’ve proved we can sing and we can arrange, now we want to prove we can write. We really wanted to push ourselves. We want to establish ourselves as original artists and show that we have something to say.”

“Can’t Sleep Love” is an undoubted an intriguing start to an album that promises to include everything “from chill, soulful stuff to upbeat, poppy craziness,” according to Pentatonix. For whatever reason, viral acts like PTX have an uphill battle when it comes to releasing original music and even with major-label backing and a passionate fan base, the act may struggle in this new sect of their careers. But as far as “Can’t Sleep Love” goes, consider us pitch-slapped and eager to hear more.
