“Money makes the world go around
The world go around
The world go around
Money makes the world go around
It makes the world go ’round.
A mark, a yen, a buck, or a pound
A buck or a pound
A buck or a pound
Is all that makes the world go around,
That clinking clanking sound
Can make the world go ’round.
Money money money money money money”

I feel this is important information about what is happening in the Republican Administration lead by Drumpf and what we need to be aware of.

Don’t quote me but I read somewhere, in passing, that he’d dreamed about dismantling Medicaid when he was in college.
Guess he’s on his way to do so … or so he thinks!
Found it!!
I’ve Been Dreaming About Kicking Poor Off Medicaid Since I Was a Drunk Frat Boy
the health care entitlements are the big, big, big drivers of our debt. There are three. Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare. Two out of three are going through Congress right now. So, Medicaid—sending it back to the states, capping its growth rate. We’ve been dreaming of this since you and I were drinking out of a keg.
We need to talk about this America.
About a President hoping for an attack to justify an attack on on the judiciary.
This is how doctors get murdered.
This is how clinics get shot up.
This is how mosques get burned.
This is not the behavior of a President.
Or an American.
This isn’t the behavior of a good “Businessman.”
We need to talk about this, America.
Because we have a “President” who is rooting against us.
If you thought Bush/Cheney took advantage of 9/11, watch if there’s an attack on our soil.
He won’t ask for unity.
He’ll enforce fealty.
This ‘President’ is hoping for the worst, preparing for it, to take advantage of it like a real estate predator waiting for a housing crisis.
We need to talk about this.
This isn’t a vision for America.
This is a desire and a plan for America to fail.
Starting at the top.
It seems that some Americans have a problem with people speaking another language besides English.
Somehow the idea that it is more helpful, not to say, a sign of higher educational level,
speaking a language besides English, in some areas in America, may be looked totally insulting.
I speak from personal experience.
I worked with the federal government for many years. I moved to Florida in 1999 and experienced this fact. Folks I worked with minded the times I spoke in Spanish, my main language.
Being fluent in both, I had to mispronounce my name so that Americans understood it.
The photo of a Trump Tower billboard above sleeping homeless children is real
Posted by Joe Vesey-Byrne in news
A photograph of the slum children of Mumbai sleeping beneath a billboard for Trump Tower went viral in early December.
Initially denounced as a fake on Reddit and Snopes.com, the photographer Paul Needham has since come forward.
Since Trump’s elevation to the international stage as president-elect, the juxtaposition becomes even more powerful than simply a hotel magnate and people in poverty.
When the image initially went viral, some doubted its veracity.
Needham has since spoken to indy100, and verified the image.
I was in Mumbai to meet a social impact investor. I run a company called Simpa Networks, Simpa Energy here in India. We provide solar energy solutions to farmers and small shops in rural India.
It’s no secret. Puerto Rico has a huge financial debt.
To those who don’t know, it seems that it’s all Puerto Rico’s fault.
“After years of wild overspending …. “
There’s so much more.
I’ve learned so much about my country as a senior citizen than as a senior in school. That makes me sad because my country’s history isn’t taught the way it should be.
When I saw the video posted below, I could barely contain my anger.
“Dark Money” group spends $200,000 in TV ads, to keep Puerto Rico from receiving any debt relief
A group called the “Center for Individual Freedom” (CFIF) has purchased $200,000 in TV ads in the Washington D.C. media market, to convince legislators to deny Puerto Rico any immediate debt relief.
The ads will air on Fox, NBC, ABC and CBS affiliates in the D.C. area. They will also run on local D.C. news programs, as well as the Sunday, April 10, episode of “Meet the Press.”

The economic crisis isn’t the only thing we should care about
By Gabe Gonzalez Posted on March 31, 2016
Puerto Rico is an island rich in history, art, and culture. It’s where my family grew up and it’s a place near and dear to my heart. While the economic crisis affecting the commonwealth has raised awareness about one issue facing the island, there’s a bit more to it than that.
I’ve compiled this list not to focus on the “negative” aspects of the realities that face Puerto Rico, but rather, to share some challenges Puerto Ricans overcome every day.
These might come as no surprise to those living on the island, but here are ten f*cked up facts about Puerto Rico:

The US military used Puerto Rico as a bomb testing site
Puerto Ricans pay insane utility rates
While Puerto Rico’s homicide rate is falling, it’s about 5X higher than the US average
Doctors are leaving Puerto Rico at an alarming rate

The territory is currently struggling under enormous debt obligations and is seeking help from Congress and the federal government.
