I must confess that I’d heard about this organization before.

It wasn’t after the November 2016 election that I became a member.

They support all rights of the people who seem to be oppressed during the current American ‘rule’.

They represent me.

The American Civil Liberties Union has attracted Hollywood’s biggest stars for a fundraiser.

“Stand for Rights: A Benefit for the ACLU” which will stream on Facebook Live on March 31 and be filmed live in New York.

“In these tumultuous times, we need our favorite actors, musicians, and comedians to do what they do best. Speak earnestly about politics? No!

Entertain you for a great cause?

Yes!” the Facebook event reads.

Celebrities including Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Ellie Kemper, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, Jon Hamm and Mahershala Ali will all make appearances to raise money for the organization.

~’SNL’ (again) roasts Donald Trump in cold open~

Donald Trump (again) is not happy about it

When he wasn’t blocking people on Twitter or defending himself for talking to Taiwan on the phone, President-elect Donald Trump took time out of his schedule last week to retweet a 16-year-old who went on a rant about alleged, but completely unproven voter fraud.

That was the impetus for SNL’s cold open on Saturday when, after RTing the 16-year-old who was tweeting from his high school classroom, Trump, played by Alec Baldwin, looked at the camera and said,

“I really did retweet him. Seriously. This is true.”

Said senior adviser Kellyanne Conway, played by Kate McKinnon, while also looking into the camera,

“He really did do this.”

And SNL was there to explore what might have happened next.

Trump’s minions and surrogates stooped Sunday, October 2, to calling him a genius for not paying taxes for almost two decades.

He practically admitted to the fact when confronted by Hillary and his taxes during the first presidential debate of 2016, he said:

“That makes me smart” …

That’s when we could hear to campaign’s collective groan!

Who was ‘the most genius’?

Indeed, Alec Baldwin’s impersonation … one for the books.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
