I missed watching the royal wedding in real time. I managed to watch parts of it. I saw the Queen arrive, I saw Meghan and Doria arrive. I saw the ceremony, the choir (Stand By Me), the viola player.
My personal tradition has been to get up early and watch every bit of it.
On Monday 27 November 2017 The Prince of Wales announced the engagement of his son Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.
The wedding took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on Saturday 19 May.
The service began at St. George’s Chapel at midday and was conducted by the Dean of Windsor, The Rt Revd. David Conner. The Most Revd. and Rt Hon. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, officiated as the couple made their marriage vows.
People magazine’s annual ‘Most Beautiful‘ issue just got a facelift
P!nk appears on the cover of the magazine’s 2018 ‘Beautiful’ issue with her daughter Willow, 6, and son Jameson, 1, for a feature more focused on parenting and self-love than just the singer’s looks.
“I tell my daughter the truth,” Pink says in the story, which hits newsstands Friday, via excerpts provided to NBC’s Today. “I let her be six, but I want her to know about fairness and kindness and that you have to fight for your rights, and that sometimes girls aren’t paid as much as boys for the same job, and girls aren’t treated the same, and that they have to work harder for everything.”
Appearing on Wednesday’s Ellen, April 17, to celebrate the magazine cover, the singer joked that she “laughed out loud” when she found out she would be on the cover.

This past Sunday, November 5, CBS Television had a special segment detailing information about many Puerto Ricans, American citizens, having endured the longest blackout in American history following a direct hit from Hurricane María. I’ve been looking for this special on YouTube to share it with you.
The situation in Puerto Rico is still dire.
It seems that the segment presented in the regular show isn’t available yet. I will keep looking and share it when I find it.
During my search, I found this 60 Minutes Overtime presented on November 5 by Brit McCandless Farmer.
Forty-eight days today, after Hurricane María hit the island, ‘60 Minutes‘ found its citizens trying to make do without water or power – and frequently losing hope
Every day and night in San Juan, there are blackouts. But having electricity at all is a privilege, since most of the island is still without power.
“At night, it really quiets down because it’s dark,” says 60 Minutes associate producer Jack Weingart.
“The street lights are out, and most homes and businesses are also dark. So at night, you just hear this constant humming of the generators.”
Weingart, along with producers Graham Messick and Michael Karzis and associate producer Vanessa Fica, recently traveled to Puerto Rico with correspondent Steve Kroft to report this week for 60 Minutes.
As they traveled throughout the island, the dire status on the ground surprised them most.
“It’s really still in an emergency mode,” Karzis says.
“They haven’t graduated into a relief mode or recovery.”

But what does this exodus mean to an already crippled island?
“It means a territory, which is already fiscally circling the drain, having the tax base erode even further,” Karzis says.
“It does not help that you’re losing otherwise qualified professionals or a labor force that is dwindling. And what you’re left with are folks that are older, and are collecting pensions at this point or young kids.”
Almost seven weeks after the storm, producer Graham Messick says, it feels like some Puerto Ricans have given up.
“They’d lost hope,” he says. “And it’s like a state of suspended animation. People were just waiting for the power to come on. There’s just nothing to do. It’s boring. It’s hot. It’s uncomfortable.”
“And there are no answers. “
The video was produced by Will Croxton. It was edited by Will Croxton and Sarah Shafer Prediger.

There have been plenty of experts, at the end of these initial months of this irregular presidency who have come out and expressed that this ‘so-called president’ suffers from some sort of unbalance – i.e. mental deficiency.
There’s no need for experts!
Anyone who is basically sane, and didn’t drink the Kool-Aid, knew this the moment he slid down that golden escalator, declared his intention to run for president and started his tirade … initially against Mexicans … and it hasn’t stopped since.
Come on, be true to yourself, in the privacy of your mind, no need to say the words YET.
There’s something askew with ‘the man’. He’s not right.
I feel this is important information about what is happening in the Republican Administration lead by Drumpf and what we need to be aware of. Keith Olbermann series called “The Resistance” continues. He has posted installment #117.
The video speaks for itself.
If this resonates with you, good.
If it doesn’t, just scroll away to the next blog.
Thank you!

Drumpf on Tuesday, September 5, ordered an end to the Obama-era program that shields young undocumented immigrants from deportation, calling it an “amnesty-first approach” and urging Congress to pass a replacement before he begins phasing out its protections in six months.
As early as March 2018, officials said, some of the 800,000 young adults brought to the United States illegally as children who qualify for the program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, will become eligible for deportation.
The five-year-old policy allows them to remain without fear of immediate removal from the country and gives them the right to work legally.
Darci Lynne Shocks Judges With Amazing ‘Natural Woman’ Ventriloquist Act
I have been following this young girl since she first appeared in the AGT’s auditions and Mel B pressed the Golden Buzzard.
This child is amazing.
She’s very talented in so many ways. She sings (with her mouth closed, she’s a ventriloquist and her charisma fills the room. Her performance in the quarter finals was so cute and incredible.
Darci Lynne introduced us to another puppet named Edna and left me feeling one way … shook. Singing Carole King’s “Natural Woman,” one of the hardest songs to sing because the only one who can cover it as well as Carole is Aretha Franklin, Darci knocked it out of the park.
With her mouth literally closed belting out the song, Darci’s older puppet “Edna” serenaded her crush Simon Cowell. Simon literally blushed as Darci walked over to the judge’s panel and continued to sing in Simon’s ear.
Drumpf said Tuesday, September 5, he has a “great heart” and a “great love” for those who are protected from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, hours after his administration announced it was being rescinded.
The Drumpf administration announced Tuesday morning it will roll back DACA by March 5, giving Congress six months to come up with a permanent, legislative solution for young illegal immigrants currently shielded from the threat of deportation, called Dreamers, under the program.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the administration’s decision to rescind DACA, and the president’s remarks before the meeting on tax reform are his first public comments on the move.

Derek Hough‘s wet hair hangs in front of his face while playing the drums in the new “Kairos” video also starring violinist Lindsey Stirling.
The 31-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro shows off his amazing moves throughout the wet and wild video.
“The video is up officially! And available on iTunes! I am making these for the fans. Go check it out!! Original music and some dancin! And of course @lindseystirling!!
I want to thank @kelseymccowan for teaching me the Tap and body percussion elements and expanding my dance vocabulary.
Christian Guardino shocked the judges with his powerful voice on America’s Got Talent and he earned the golden buzzer for his amazing audition!
The 16-year-old singer was blind for most of his life before a gene therapy was able to restore his vision.
Christian performed the classic song “Who’s Loving You” and brought the judges and the audience to their feet!
“You were like a little mouse that turned into a lion. You are one of my favorite contestants I’ve seen this year. Not only in terms of your voice. I just like you.
There’s something about you, and it’s just the best possible feeling when we meet someone like you,”
Simon Cowell told Christian.
Howie Mandel decided to use his golden buzzer and send Christian directly to the live shows!
Mandy Harvey has one of the most incredible stories we’ve ever heard on America’s Got Talent and her amazing audition totally deserved that golden buzzer!
The 29-year-old singer lost hearing in both of her ears when she was 18 due to a degenerative ear disease while she was a freshman in college and pursuing music.
Mandy had to leave the music program and teach herself how to sing again using muscle memorization and feeling the vibration of the music with her feet.
She performed a beautiful original song that she wrote called “Try” and brought the audience to tears.
Judge Simon Cowell used his golden buzzer to send Mandy straight to the live shows and he called the audition “one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and heard.”
