Always had a soft spot for Andrea. There’s an addition now to his son Matteo.

What a beautiful coupling of voices.

Saw them perform last night in a late night show. When looking for the video and this is what I found.

Andrea Bocelli has been called “the fourth tenor”; the blind, Tuscan-born vocalist has emerged as one of the most popular voices in the arena of light classical and crossover vocals and has made inroads into the world of opera as well.

His participation in Pavarotti’s 1992 hit Miserere album and Zucchero Fornaciari’s 1993 world tour brought him international attention. Bocelli has been most successful as a pop ballad singer, having recorded duets with Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman, and Eros Ramazzotti.

Al Jarreau, who sang with Bocelli during “The Night of Proms” in November 1995, praised Bocelli with these words:

“I have had the honor to sing with the most beautiful voice in the world.”

Normani Kordei & Val Chmerkovskiy’s ‘DWTS’ Week 7 Tango Earned a Perfect Score

The duo performed the Argentine Tango to “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás” by Andrea Bocelli featuring Jennifer Lopez.

The genre they were given for “Movie Night” week was “Foreign” – and the judges awarded them a perfect score!

They were given immunity this week due to their high score.

‘The Prayer Violin Cover ‘

Cal Morris is a violinist and musician who splits his time between both coasts, and his childhood home, Oklahoma.

Cal taught himself how to play the piano with his twin brother at the age of six and immediately fell in love with the magic of music.

At age thirteen they decided to pursue violin and a few months later Dr. Hong Zhu from the University of Central Oklahoma heard them play.

He wanted to take them on as classical students, and they wanted to learn as much as they could.

Five years later they were offered full-ride music scholarships to the university (they declined in order to start a long-time family business venture). Nearly a decade later the love for music and happiness will playing hasn’t waned, and has become the focus.

It’s never too late to start again!

“I’d Want It To Be You”

Partners is the thirty-fourth studio album by Barbra Streisand, released in September 2014. The album features Streisand singing duets with an all-male lineup including John Legend, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Elvis Presley.

The collection also features Streisand’s first studio-recorded duet with her son, Jason Gould. 

While the recordings are new, most of the songs have a previous history as Streisand releases. Two classic Streisand duets are updated with new partners: “What Kind of Fool”, newly performed with John Legend (originally with Barry Gibb) and “Lost Inside of You”, newly performed with Babyface (originally with Kris Kristofferson). A message from Barbra …. her album “Partners”!!

I received my copy in the mail yesterday. And I ordered the “Deluxe CD” which has several other duets she’s done before. My treat …. Her voice continues to be impeccable. The choice of songs and partners is excellent. 

I was particularly touched by the one with her son Jason Gould. 

In her own words: 

“Hearing the news that “Partners” entered the charts at #1 was an overwhelming feeling of joy!!

Being told that I’ve had #1 albums in six consecutive decades makes me feel truly blessed and grateful to have such loyal fans. I feel you rooting for me and I so appreciate all of your energy and support.

It’s especially sweet since I get to share this moment with my wonderfully talented partners who I had the pleasure of singing with: Michael Bublé, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Babyface, Billy Joel, Blake Shelton, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend, Josh Groban, my beloved son Jason Gould…and last but not least, Elvis Presley…forever The King!
