ORNIE, THE PIG
Today is Wednesday, the middle of the week; hump day. I’m “breaking” the week’s “NatureIsSpeaking” series today even though this is a very uplifting series.
The world continues to be in a perpetual state of war, violence and crime abounds, abuse against minorities continue, the idiotic political campaign (of a certain party) seems unending, the economy continues to be uncertain, Citizens United is still alive and well, social and economical inequality is the sad reality, racism has never left the building and so much more.
It’s time to take a little break and enjoy some humor.
And maybe, I like the fact that his name, Ornie, sounds like mine, Horty.
We’ll be back tomorrow with Mother Nature.

SYNOPSIS
Ormie is a Pig, in every sense of the word. Pig see cookie. Pig want cookie. But they are out of reach … or are they? See Ormie’s attempts to gain the warm sweet taste that is his obsession.
Ormie has garnered 8 Festival Awards including Best Short Film (Savannah FF 2010, Palm Springs International Shorts Fest 2010, Sprockets 2010, Seattle Int’l FF 2010) and the Audience Award (New York Int’l Children’s FF 2011).
