Melania’s White House Christmas decorations have become a horror meme yet again

Your new holiday tradition: A Very Scary White House Christmas!

The White House has decked its halls for the holidays. And just like last year, its trimmings look more frightening than festive at first glance.

If you were one of many people who thought last year’s White House Christmas display was bizarrely ominous, moody lighting and barren tree skeletons looking like the backdrop of a horror movie – well, then, I can’t wait to hear what you think of the 2018 holiday look.

Melania reportedly spent months working on this year’s decorations, which she unveiled in a series of Monday morning tweets.

Perhaps determined to continue signaling disregard for her critics, Drumpf has repeated the idea of horror-tinged White-House decor in at least one corner of the place, lining an entire hallway with blood-red Christmas trees that immediately reminded gawkers on social media of fun holiday movies.

Like Stanley Kubrick’s Christmas classic The Shining!

In a five-minute video statement shellacking Drumpf with profanity and mariachis belting out his “Vicente for Presidente” campaign song.

“Donald, every time I make fun of you, which I do a lot, people say, ‘Why can’t you be our president?’ ” said Fox, who emerged last year from a sleepy post-presidency on his ranch in central Mexico to become an Internet sensation as one of Drumpf’s most consistent and brutal comedic critics.

“America, I feel your pain. We all do. And that is why today I am proud to announce my candidacy for president of the United States,” said Fox, who pulled on a Drumpf-style red campaign cap that read:

“Always ask before grabbing a pussy.”

Google Doodle for today …. “Celebrating the Man Behind the Rainbow Flag … Gilbert Baker …. “!!

Baker passed away last year at the age of 65.

Today, he would have turned 66.

Google on Friday, June 2,  used its latest Doodle to celebrate American artist and gay rights activist Gilbert Baker, creator of the rainbow flag that has become a symbol of pride for LGBTQ individuals around the world.

Baker made his way from Kansas to San Francisco with the U.S. Army.

After leaving the military, Baker taught himself to sew and volunteered his skills to make protest banners for the city’s gay community.

In 1978, influential gay leader Harvey Milk challenged Baker to create a new symbol for activists to rally around. The most widely used icon at the time was the pink triangle, reclaimed from the symbol used during World War II to identify gay prisoners being held in Nazi concentration camps.

While it may have been a potent symbol of common suffering and struggle, Baker wanted to create something more positive and celebratory to bind the growing LGBT movement together.

The first rainbow flag Baker put together with volunteers in the attic of the Gay Community Center included eight differently colored horizontal stripes with their own meaning. After Milk’s assassination later that year, demand for the flag exploded and the limited availability of some fabric meant reducing the number of stripes to today’s six.

Michael Flynn’s Immunity Request Rejected By Senate Intelligence Committee

The Senate Intelligence Committee turned down the request by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s lawyer for a grant of immunity in exchange for his testimony, two congressional sources told NBC News.

A senior congressional official with direct knowledge said Flynn’s lawyer was told it was “wildly preliminary” and that immunity was “not on the table” at the moment. A second source said the committee communicated that it is “not receptive” to Flynn’s request “at this time.”

There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. There’s hope in the young generation.

Maybe there won’t be any issue with them and being gay will be as accepted as being left-handed.

Grab a tissue and watch this tearjerker video of Ellen hosting the two male high school students – one gay, one straight – who are going to their prom together because they’re best friends.

Anthony Martinez didn’t have a date for the prom. What his straight friend Jacob Lescenski did about that surprised everyone.

Ellen knew she had to hear their incredible story.

“You’re hella gay, I’m hella str8, but you’re like my brother so be my d8!,” Jacob wrote on a sign happily held by friends.

Those friends and many more rented a bus to join Anthony and Jacob on Wednesday on “The Ellen Show,” where Ellen DeGeneres interviewed the best friends and commended them for being great role models.

She also handed each of them a $10,000 check for their education, to help reinforce and show the world that gay or straight, nothing beats friendship.

Ellen DeGeneres had a generous surprise in store this week for the gay-straight “couple” whose colorful proposal went viral last week in the blogosphere.

DeGeneres rewarded Jacob Lescenski and Anthony Martinez, who are juniors at the Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a check for $10,000 each for the headline-making gesture.

“I just wanted to say I know that there are some schools out there that don’t support this and wouldn’t allow this to happen and it’s really a shame because prom is very important to a lot of people,”

she gushed in the interview, video of which can be found.

Lescenski, who is straight, revealed that he was initially apprehensive after he learned that the openly gay Martinez had a crush on him.

Still, the two struck up a seemingly unlikely friendship.

“At first I was kinda scared,” he said in the interview. “I didn’t support gay rights then, but I also wasn’t against them … [but] Anthony, actually, was the reason that I began to support gay rights. He’s such a convincing person, he can convince anyone of anything. He’s such a great speaker.”
