SYRIA’S WAR: CONVOLUTED AND COMPLICATED

Syria has been at the forefront of the news for several years.

We know about the war raging within its borders.

We have seen the many refugees leaving and running into uncertain conditions about their travels and their eventual destination.

This week, the situation attracted a huge spotlight due to the launching of Tomahawk missiles, early Friday, April 7, by the United States on a base in western Syria that the United States says was used to launch Tuesday’s chemical attack, April 4, which left nearly 100 people dead and hundreds more injured.

The video explains the many details, factions, alliances and ‘players’.

The White House press corps is the group of journalists or correspondents usually stationed at the White House in Washington, D.C., to cover the President of the United States, White House events, and news briefings.

Donald Trump’s plan to neuter the White House press corps could neuter our democracy

Tyrants don’t allow open questioning, and they hate the free press. They want total control.

That’s why, according to three senior officials on the transition team, the incoming Trump administration is considering evicting the White House press corps from the press room inside the White House and moving them – and news conferences – to a conference center or to the Old Executive Office Building.

This may sound like a small logistic matter. It’s not. The White House “press room” contains work stations and broadcast booths, and the briefing area for presidential news conferences.

Reporters have had workspace at the White House since Teddy Roosevelt was president, in 1901.

Rubbish. It’s because a larger room would allow the administration to fill seats with “alt-right” fringe journalists, rightwing social media, Trump supporters and paid staffers.

They’d be there to ask the questions Trump wants to answer, and to jeer at reporters who ask critical questions and applaud Trump’s answers.

The move would allow Trump to play the crowd.

But we’re in a new era, the reign of King Trump.

Ellen DeGeneres  is so popular, she gets phone calls from Adele, Drake and Lionel Richie …. all within the matter of minutes.

At least that’s how it looks in a must-see spoof on Thursday’s episode, October 28, 2015, of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Adele might have a throwback flip phone in the music video for “Hello,” but DeGeneres tops her with an old-school device that belongs in a 1980’s time capsule. The only problem: her reception isn’t that great, and she can’t understand what the singer is saying.

If Ellen doesn’t spoof your music video, did you really even make a music video? Her latest spoof project was Adele’s record breaking “Hello” music video and she did not disappoint.
Adele’s “Hello” video is beautiful, cus duh it’s Adele, but Ellen managed to spice it up with a little help from Drake, Lionel Ritchie, and some potato chips.
In the spoof, Ellen gets a call from Adele on this ancient 80’s phone and proceeds to talk to Adele except instead of her talking back, snippets of Adele’s video are used to carry on the convo.
