It’s simply amazing to watch this young boy play this Queen classic song!

It assures us of the power of this song and how it will be passed on to the younger generation.

Billy is an award winning 15 year old Anglo-Brazilian classical/flamenco fingerstyle guitarist, inspired by the likes of Rodrigo y Gabriela, Tommy Emmanuel, Paco de Lucia and Sungha Jung.

In 2016 he reached the final of Sky Arts TV show “Guitar Star” – performed live at Latitude Festival, Abbey Road Studios and worked one on one with George Benson, Tony Iommi and David Bowie’s long time producer Tony Visconti, who described him as a ‘Little Boy Genius’.

I was a wonderful week spent up north.

I took Angelika, my oldest grand child with me.

She had her “fall break”, not to be confused with “spring brake”.

This is the first time I heard about this kind of school brake.

We were visiting family and it was quality time for all.

I missed the blogosphere.

Now I’m back to the usual grind!!

Taino – Yo Soy Boricua Pa Que Tu Lo Sepas

“Yo soy Boricua, pa’que tu lo sepas!” (English: I am Puerto Rican, so that you know!) is a song composed in 1995 by Joel Bosch a.k.a. Taino released in various albums (Con Mi Corona, Numero Uno, Power Mix Latino).

“Yo soy Boricua, pa’que tu lo sepas” became the anthem of Puerto Ricans around the world.

To date, the song still identifies itself as the social statement of proud Puerto Ricans. It is constantly chanted at the NY Puerto Rican day parade, political events and sporting events to rally Puerto Rican athletes.

CHILDHOOD CONNECTIONS

We all have our childhood memories …

the favorite bear, the softest furry friend, our neighborhood, our childhood friends, the house were we lived in, a tree house in out back yard.

Those memories are forever etched in our minds.

We also remember the times when we may have had the need to leave those behind.

For a child, this can be difficult and maybe even devastating.

But … would you think it could also be the same for the “object/memory” we are leaving behind?

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability. Currently working on an enterprise whose main mission will be to bring peoples of all walks of life together. To be one .... since we ALL are ONE!! The future looks bright and promising!!!
