“During the course of this boisterous political campaign, did you ever chant ‘lock her up’?” Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., asked Sessions during his attorney general confirmation hearings.
“No, I did not,” Sessions answered.
“I don’t think. I heard it, at rallies and so forth, sometimes I think humorously done.”
Report Claims Trump Hired Prostitutes to Perform “Golden Showers” in Moscow Hotel
(Reports from last night, January 10, while Obama gave his Farewell Address)
U.S. intelligence agencies warned Donald Trump about claims Russian operatives held potential blackmail information against him involving alleged “perverted sexual acts” during stays in Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to reports.
What really matters is this soundbite.
One specific paragraph in the document that the internet immediately grabbed onto, and hasn’t let go of, since:
“According to Source D, where s/he had been present, TRUMP’s (perverted) conduct in Moscow included hiring the presidential suite of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, where he knew President and Mrs. OBAMA (whom he hated) had stayed on one of their official trips to Russia, and defiling the bed where they had slept by employing a number of prostitutes to perform a ‘golden showers’ (urination) show in front of him.”
Yup! You read that right.
The President-Elect was just accused of paying prostitutes to pee on each other.
The US government publicly announced in October that it was “confident” Russia orchestrated the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations of the Democratic Party.
Those hacks resulted in the public release of thousands of stolen emails, many of which included damaging revelations about the Democratic Party and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the party’s nominee.
There is also evidence that entities connected to the Russian government were bankrolling “troll farms” that spread fake news about Clinton. Investigators also found digital footprints of individuals tied to the Russian government who had been on intelligence agencies radar before, as was acknowledged when the intelligence agency put out a public statement in October.

The US House of Representatives just voted to pass H.R.2494,
the Global Anti-#Poaching Act.
Special thanks to House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce and Ranking Member Eliot Engel for introducing the Act and championing it through to a vote. Building off the momentum from the Enough Project‘s event on the Hill last week, October 2015, this act is a crucial step in the effort to break the links between wildlife trafficking networks and mass atrocities.
This is an incredible victory, and one YOU made happen!
Bill Description
Representative Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), the Committee’s Ranking member, introduced H.R. 2494, the Global Anti-Poaching Act. This legislation will help the United States and partner countries counter terrorist organizations, rebel groups, and international criminal syndicates that are profiting from international wildlife trafficking.
Background
The Global Anti-Poaching Act will help the worldwide fight against illicit poaching by aiding governments fighting wildlife trafficking. Illegal trafficking in ivory and rhino horn is directly responsible for shocking declines in elephant and rhino populations in recent years, and this bill is a crucial step toward reducing the threat to these animals on the ground.

BREAKING: Historic Victory for Marriage Equality in Ireland
#LoveWins
Today, May 23, 2015, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, hailed the historic victory for marriage equality in Ireland.
Ireland is the first country in the world to pass marriage equality through a national referendum, and the 21st country to decide to afford same-sex couples full marriage rights.
“Voters in Ireland had a rare opportunity to make their country and the world more just and more equal — and that’s just what they did,” said HRC President Chad Griffin.
“As these election results prove, momentum for equality reaches around the globe. HRC is proud to join our partners in Ireland in celebrating this historic victory which guarantees that everyone has the same right to marry the person they love.
Love can’t wait, not in the United States or in Ireland, and it is clear it won’t wait any longer.”
The referendum asked voters to approve language that updates Ireland’s constitution to state, “Marriage may be contracted in accordance with the law by two persons without distinction as to their sex.” Through an unprecedented voter registration campaign and voter mobilization effort by the Irish LGBT community, including the Yes Equality campaign, voters voted overwhelming for equality.

Internet Is Now A Utility Under Title II of the Communications Act
~Federal Communications Commission~
The Federal Communications Commission voted Thursday to approve strong net neutrality rules in a stunning decision, defying vocal, months-long opposition by telecom and cable companies and Republicans on Capitol Hill.
Net neutrality (also network neutrality, Internet neutrality, or net equality) is the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet equally, not discriminating or charging differentialy by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication.
The term was coined by Columbia University media law professor Tim Wu in 2003 as an extension of the longstanding concept of a common carrier.
The future of protecting an open Internet has been the subject of fierce debate, and potential changes to the rules by the Federal Communications Commission could impact your online experience.
