Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991) was an American writer and illustrator best known for authoring popular children’s books under the pen name Dr. Seuss.

His work includes several of the most popular children’s books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.

Geisel adopted his “Dr. Seuss” pen name during his university studies at Dartmouth College and the University of Oxford.

THE GOLDEN YEARS

It very well seems to me that others have been here before. I’m at that age …. my golden years.

Whoever came up with this phrase obviously wasn’t there yet.

It may seem funny …. but no truer words have been said.

In my humble opinion, the should have been called the “rusted years“.

I CANNOT SEE, I CANNOT PEE

I CANNOT CHEW, I CANNOT SCREW

MY MEMORY SHRINKS, MY HEARING STINKS,

NO SENSE OF SMELL, I LOOK LIKE HELL,

MY BODY’S DROOPING, GOT TROUBLE POOPING.

THE GOLDEN YEARS HAVE COME AT LAST,

THE GOLDEN YEARS CAN KISS MY ASS.
