Gender suffered a devastating defeat this morning at the hands of one Céline Dion, who dropped a short video on Twitter to tease the grand unveiling of her new gender-neutral kids’ clothing line, slated to be announced tomorrow.

The short video sees Dion being slammed to the ground by a cop, presumably for radicalism, or perhaps for crimes against The Binary™.

“It’s OK,” Dion says in the clip. “I’m Céline Dion!” Facts are facts.

Stans were titillated by the snippet, which ends by pointing viewers to the brand’s website.

Called Celinununu, its mission statement affirms the brand’s desire to use fashion to change the world:

“One Voice: fashion has the power to shape people’s minds. Inspire your children to be free and find their own individuality through clothes.”

Saw them perform last night in a late night show. When looking for the video and this is what I found.

Andrea Bocelli has been called “the fourth tenor”; the blind, Tuscan-born vocalist has emerged as one of the most popular voices in the arena of light classical and crossover vocals and has made inroads into the world of opera as well.

That Céline Dion, the queen of lung-busting power ballads, has delivered a My Heart Will Go On for the 21st century is not surprising

The movie soundtrack it’s on may raise an eyebrow or two, though: Deadpool 2.

Yep, you read that right.

“In my career, I have been offered incredible songs and projects,” Dion, 50, wrote in a French-language tweet Thursday.

“Ashes is one of those songs, and Deadpool 2 is out of the ordinary! Prepare to live breathtaking moments with @deadpoolmovie indoors on May 18 …

You’ll die laughing!”

The performance video for Ashes, filmed on an empty stage at what looks like her Vegas residency venue, boasts all the dramatic, drag-queen worthy hand gestures you’d expect from Dion, who’s outfitted in a flowing power-blue gown and backed up by a dancer in full Deadpool regalia and dance shoes.

Deadpool Director Explains How Celine Dion Came On Board For That Insane Music Video

Leitch explained

We were meeting with songwriters, we were hearing riffs and ideas, I was giving them briefings on thematics. And we ended up discovering the song ‘Ashes.’ It just sort of fit and ticked all the boxes of what I was trying to do, story-wise. And I was like, man, I really would love to find an artist to record this – a contemporary artist who’s got the chops to make it super emotional.

He went on:

I brought it to Ryan Reynolds and we started to riff on it. And he’s like, ‘You know who we should get? We should approach Céline. She’s an incredible singer, she’s amazing, but she’s also someone who works in the sort of subversive Deadpool universe.’

We had the song that was going to work for the movie, and then Ryan reached out and said, ‘Céline, would you like to record it?’ And then together we came up with this idea of having the music video.
Both Reynolds and Dion are Canadian, so this music video is full of Canadian royalty.

It was an enthralling, amazing and heartwarming movie.

It was a warm surprise to hear the song while the credits rolled.

What would Beauty and the Beast be without Céline Dion?

The songbird contributed the 1991 animated film’s soundtrack, singing the pop version of the title track with Peabo Bryson.

(Angela Lansbury recorded the film version).

Bryson and Dion’s duet won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, reaching No. 9 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

With the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast premiering March 17 (starring Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Dan Stevens and Emma Watson), veteran composer Alan Menken asked Dion to sing another original ballad.

The song, “How Does a Moment Last Forever,” plays over the end titles.

Comedian Jimmy Fallon loves to make his celebrity guests partake in the hilarious “Wheel of Musical Impressions” segment of The Tonight Show.

It’s a fun game where a random singer is paired up with a random song title. Jimmy’s guest goes head to head with him to see who is better at doing a successful impression of the artist singing that song. The combinations that the “wheel” comes up with are pretty wild, and it almost always has everyone in stitches.

“Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” is a Christmas song with lyrics by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released in 1971 as a single by John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir.

The lyrics are set to the traditional English ballad “Skewball”.

It was the seventh single release by Lennon outside of his work with the Beatles. The song reached number 4 in the UK, where its release was delayed until November 1972, and has periodically reemerged on the UK Singles Chart, most notably after Lennon’s death in 1980, at which point it peaked at number 2.

Also a protest song against the Vietnam War, “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” has since become a Christmas standard, frequently covered by other artists, appearing on compilation albums of seasonal music, and named in polls as a holiday favorite.

Celine Dion Surprises The Canadian Tenors During Their Rendition Of “Hallelujah”

The Canadian Tenors are a vocal quartet comprised of members Remigio Pereira, Victor Micallef, Fraser Walters, and Clifton Murray. The quartet are known for their performance of operatic pop, which consists of classical music and mainstream music.

They have been hailed as one of Canada’s “national treasures” by critics and fans alike.

On February 10th, 2010, the group had the privilege of visiting the Oprah Winfrey Show, where they held a mini concert. While singing their rendition of the song “Hallelujah,” they get the surprise of a lifetime.

As they’re singing, someone comes up from backstage to surprise them, and the guys are absolutely shocked when they see that it’s none other than legendary Canadian songstress, Celine Dion!

‘The Prayer Violin Cover ‘

Cal Morris is a violinist and musician who splits his time between both coasts, and his childhood home, Oklahoma.

Cal taught himself how to play the piano with his twin brother at the age of six and immediately fell in love with the magic of music.

At age thirteen they decided to pursue violin and a few months later Dr. Hong Zhu from the University of Central Oklahoma heard them play.

He wanted to take them on as classical students, and they wanted to learn as much as they could.

Five years later they were offered full-ride music scholarships to the university (they declined in order to start a long-time family business venture). Nearly a decade later the love for music and happiness will playing hasn’t waned, and has become the focus.

It’s never too late to start again!
