PUDDLES PITY PARTY’S GOLDEN VOICE IMPRESSED AMERICA’S GOT TALENT JUDGES
Much to the bemusement of the judges and everybody in the audience, Puddles stepped in front of the mic as he usually does, with his giant suitcase and lantern. When pressed for some background info from the judges, he maintained the silent character he always has, only making a sound when he began his performance of Sia’s “Chandelier”.
Of course, he nailed the performance as he always does, but this TV appearance gave us something we’ve never really seen from Puddles before: genuine emotion. His singing is always poignant, but his character is just that: a character.
He’s a sad clown, but when he heard the enthusiastic applause following his big break, he got actually emotional in a real human way, tears running down his face and everything.
Yoda, a male member of a mysterious species, was a revered Jedi Master who served as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order in the waning days of the Galactic Republic. He was renowned within the Order for his wisdom, powers of the Force, and lightsaber combat, and he lived for nearly 900 years.
His time during the last days of the Jedi Order and beyond made him a consequential figure in galactic history.
The Simpsons just a scathing portrayal of Donald Trump’s “First 100 Days In Office” that makes even Homer Simpson look competent
“One hundred days in office, so many accomplishments, what with my golf handicap, my Twitter following increased by 700, and finally, we can shoot hibernating bears. My boys will love that.”
While usually outlandish, the Simpsons are a pretty accurate mirror for American society today. The difference, of course, is that we knew we would need more Prozac beforehand.
“Compassion for animals is intimately associated with goodness of character, and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man.”
There is no need to step on or over anyone in our personal quest for success. Being strong doesn’t require the need to excel at the expense of others. Being strong doesn’t actually imply physical strength.
Being strong means, to me, strong of heart, mind and soul.
Being strong shows character, individuality and belief in principles of community, leadership and guidance.
Being strong is working together with and helping others.
~You Raise Me Up~
“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up… To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up… To more than I can be …… “
“You Raise Me Up” is a song that was originally composed by the duo Secret Garden. The music was written by Secret Garden’s Rolf Løvland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. After the song was performed early in 2002 by the Secret Garden and their invited lead singer, Brian Kennedy, the song only became a minor UK hit.
The song has been recorded by more than a hundred other artists including Josh Groban, who popularized the song in 2003; his rendition became a hit in the United States. The Irish band Westlife then popularized the song in the United Kingdom two years later. “You Raise Me Up” is sung as a contemporary hymn in church services.
