Ricky Martin shocked the audience with an unexpected visit to Ellen, and talked to her about JetBlue’s Check in For Good contest, what it’s like being married, and being nominated for an Emmy for “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story“.
Plus, Ellen and her friends at Shutterfly also had a big surprise for Ricky so he can continue his efforts to help rebuild Puerto Rico.

‘We Have Only Come to Dream’ is an epic soundtrack of the history of the Americas … this album takes the listener on an extraordinary journey through sound and time …
We Have Only Come to Dream grabs the listener from the opening chords and never lets go.
This is an album you don’t want to miss.

We Have Only Come To Dream is a stunning release from Terry Lee Nichols and Rebekah Eden … destined to receive awards this year for the music and production values that are A+ from start to finish …
I would expect this recording to be considered into the Library of Congress or the Smithsonian Institute at some point, and hopefully as soon as possible as it deserves inclusion into one of our American Institutions …
If there is one album to make sure you get this year it is We Have Only Come To Dream.
Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick was among eight people saluted by Harvard University for contributions to black history and culture
All eight recipients of the prestigious W.E.B. Du Bois Medal were honored in a ceremony held Thursday, October 11, afternoon by the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard “in recognition of their contributions to African and African American culture and the life of the mind.”
As requested by Kaepernick, his speech at the ceremony was not broadcast live (there was a live stream of the event available).
In his speech, Kaepernick encouraged further protests against racial inequality.
SNL Trolls Spineless Republicans Who Won’t Stand Up to Trump in ‘The TBD Story’
This is the story of the Republican who stood up to President Donald Trump

There was plenty for Saturday Night Live to dig its teeth into this week, from Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusing himself over a pair of undisclosed meetings with the Russian ambassador to the embarrassing press tour of Trump’s alleged “man in Moscow,” Carter Page.
It is possible that the late-night sketch show’s plan was thrown into disarray due to President Trump’s series of unhinged tweets Saturday morning alleging that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower (a theory based on zero evidence, and probably culled from a Breitbart story based on an unsubstantiated rumor), but with the exception of an opening bit featuring Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions as Forrest Gump, the political satire was lacking this week the comedic talents of Melissa McCarthy and Alec Baldwin.
The GOP’s majority control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives means real, transformative opposition to the Drumpf administration will require Republican support.
The question is:
Who will grow a spine first and finally put country before party?
The “Republican Movie” trailer doesn’t dare to guess – beyond asserting that it won’t be Paul Ryan.
“The Truth Is Hard” is the newspaper’s first television commercial since 2010

For first time the failing @nytimes will take an ad (a bad one) to help save its failing reputation. Try reporting accurately & fairly!

Unfortunately, the ‘so-called president‘ seems to have missed some of the truth.
Just as “overrated” actress Meryl Streep received a standing ovation at the Oscars, the Times has reported increased subscriptions and is not, actually failing.
“First they came …” is a statement and poem written by Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis’ rise to power and subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group.

America and Americans have been know for their kind actions in benefit of others (so they claim).
Nevertheless, this belief is shattered as we see the heartlessness in the deportment of these undocumented Americans who do not fall under the category of criminals, drug dealers and the like.
Take into account the story of Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos.
As I write this, the phrase ‘cut your nose to spite your face’ comes to mind.
Garcia de Rayos came illegally to the United States from Guanajuato, Mexico, in the mid-1990’s with her parents when she was 14. She was arrested in 2008 in a workplace raid at Golfland Sunsplash, a waterpark in Mesa, Arizona.
She was convicted in March 2009 of criminal impersonation for having a fake Social Security number, a sixth-degree felony.
Drumpf campaigned on deporting 2 million to 3 million undocumented immigrants
“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably 2 million, it could be even 3 million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate,” Drumpf told “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl, according to a preview of the interview released by CBS.
“But we’re getting them out of our country. They’re here illegally.”
A four-month-old Iranian girl, scheduled to fly into Portland for a heart surgery appointment at OHSU had to postpone the procedure after Drumpf’s immigration order.
The infant, Fatemah, has a heart condition. Her family found out about it at a routine checkup, and her pediatricians say she needs to have surgery soon.
“They said ‘this is a miracle, we don’t know how she had lived with the big problem she had.’ Immediately she has to do the surgery,” her uncle, Samad Taghizadeh , told KATU News.
Taghizadeh lives in Portland with Fatemah’s grandparents; they are American citizens. The family chose to have the open-heart surgery at Oregon Health & Science University – which boasts one of the top pediatric cardiology programs in the U.S. – because facilities in Iran do not have the equipment necessary for such a procedure.
Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. Whereas classical liberalism emphasizes the role of liberty, social liberalism stresses the importance of equality.
Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programs such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, gender equality, and international cooperation.
