On June 9, 2018, I posted about these to amazing performances which earned the golden buzzer.

I watched their performances in the quarterfinals last night.

One more time, I present them together because, though completely opposite styles, they are worthy of winning the competition and the coveted prize.

Season thirteen of the reality competition series America’s Got Talent premiered on May 29, 2018, on NBC.

Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell returned as judges for their respective ninth, sixth, sixth, and third seasons. Meanwhile, Tyra Banks returned for her second season as host.

The live shows returned to the Dolby Theatre, beginning August 14, 2018.

~Golden Buzzer Acts~

When an AGT judge hits the button, an act is sent straight through to the live shows, skipping a judge vote and more rounds of competition.

Here are two amazing acts that won this distinction.

~Austrian Acrobatic Dance Troupe Zurcaroh~

America’s Got Talent host Tyra Banks didn’t waste any time picking a favorite act during the auditions round. After the final performance of the season 13 premiere, she used her one chance to press the sought-after Golden Buzzer.

The group that caught Banks’ attention is Austrian acrobatic dance troupe Zurcaroh. The dancers – who ranged in age from young children to adults – took the stage to show off their breathtaking display of gymnastic abilities.

The impressive routine featured a death-defying mix of balancing tricks, synchronized dancing, and aerial acrobatics. Audience members and judges alike were left biting their nails as performers were flung high into the air and caught by their fellow troupe members.

~Nurse Michael Ketterer Earns Golden Buzzer~

When he’s not at his day-job as a pediatric mental health nurse, Michael Ketterer, is a devoted husband and father of six. Five of Ketterer’s children were adopted from foster care and one has cerebral palsy. The Tennessee native who now resides in Orange County California is also a worship leader.

If you think his story is already amazing wait until you hear Michael Ketterer’s voice.

“Because my children come out of foster care and when you’re surviving, you can’t dream. That has been one of the most rewarding things is providing them [my kids] with a home where they are free to dream. So I’m here to show my kids that if their dad can live out his dreams, then nothing is impossible for them.”

He soulfully sang the cover of, “To Love Somebody” by the Bee Gees.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician.
