My dear friend, The Rebel, is a sweet human being who has always shown significant interest in her community. Her life has been dedicated to help and facilitate issues in her community. She does the same thing in this “cyberland community” that we belong to.
I’m very thankful to have come across “The Rebel”.
Much is frequently said about “community“. I see ourselves as a group of people who have similar ideas, concepts, interests and values. Another quality that we have in common is that we had a basic need to share what we have to offer each in a very individualized and different way.
Since the advent of the Internet, the concept of community has less geographical limitation, as people can now gather virtually in an online community and share common interests regardless of physical location. Prior to the internet, virtual communities (like social or academic organizations) were far more limited by the constraints of available communication and transportation technologies.
The word “community” is derived from the Old Frenchcommunitéwhich is derived from the Latincommunitas (com, “with/together” + munus, “gift”), a broad term for fellowship or organized society.[1] Some examples of community service are to help in church, tutoring, hospitals, etc.
