“I don’t think. I heard it, at rallies and so forth, sometimes I think humorously done.”
Federalist No. 68 (Federalist Number 68), the sixty-eighth essay of The Federalist Papers, was probably written by Alexander Hamilton and published on March 12, 1788 under the pseudonym Publius – the name under which all The Federalist Papers were published. Since all were written under this one pseudonym, we can never be certain of the authorships.
Entitled “The Mode of Electing the President,” the essay describes Hamilton’s perspective on the process of selecting the Chief Executive of the United States of America. In writing this essay, Hamilton sought to convince the people of New York of the merits of the proposed Constitution.
Federalist Number 68 is the second in a series of eleven essays discussing the powers and limitations of the Executive branch but the only one to describe the method of selecting a president.
This North Carolina “HB2 Law” has not sat well with me.
Some of you may know the reasons behind my feelings.
Aside from being a proud member of the LGBT community, I was taught that America was the land of opportunity and the we are all created equal.
The second paragraph in the Declaration of Independence states,
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
Yet, here we are, in the 21st century, bickering about the triviality of which bathroom people should use.
Seems it has become fashionable now to direct hate and discrimination unto a group of citizens who have very frequently been at this receiving end for most of their lives.

I disagree! Your thinking seems to be very narrow and lacks compassion for those experiencing these feelings (trapped in the wrong body) and seems too cut and dry.
The new DSM eliminates the term “gender identity disorder,” long considered stigmatizing by mental health specialists and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender activists. That old diagnosis meant that a man who believed he was destined to be a woman was considered mentally ill. No longer so.

“I’m not questioning your right to live any life style or believe what you want according to the men of this world. In that manner you’re correct. You can do what ever you want.
God’s ways are not man’s ways according to the bible. When man gets his hands on what God intends to be holy, clean, and righteous, it become dirty, corrupt, and sinful. So, if you want to live according to what men say is okay and not what God says that’s your choice.

The Department of Justice has sued the state of North Carolina over HB2, the controversial “bathroom bill” enacted in March.
In impassioned remarks Monday afternoon, May 9, 2016, Attorney General Loretta Lynch blasted the law as “state-sponsored discrimination,” compared the law to segregation provisions of yore, and spoke directly to transgender people from a lectern at the Justice Department.
“This action is about a great deal more than bathrooms. This is about the dignity and the respect that we accord our fellow citizens,” she said. “It’s about the founding ideals that have led this country, haltingly but inexorably, in the direction of fairness, inclusion, and equality for all Americans.”
Lynch, who is a North Carolina native, placed HB2 on a continuum with state reactions against civil-rights progress, from Jim Crow to Brown v. Board of Education. She pointed out that just a few decades ago, black people were also barred from using certain bathrooms.
“Let me speak now directly to the people of the great state, the beautiful state, my home state of North Carolina,” she said. “You have been told that this law protects vulnerable populations from harm. That is just not the case. What this law does is inflict further indignity for a population that has already suffered far more than its far share. This law provides no benefit to society, and all it does is harm innocent Americans.”
“Let us learn from our history and avoid repeating the mistakes of our past,” she said. “Let us reflect on the obvious: State-sanctioned discrimination never works, and it never looks good in retrospect.”
The lawsuit is the culmination of a week of heated exchanges.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch on North Carolina’s HB2Today, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that the U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory.
In her powerful speech, Lynch spoke directly to and stood up for transgender Americans.
Poking fun at controversial political wannabes and idiotic fools (who have no insight to their particular situation) has always been a national past time. At this time, the seriousness of our reality may preclude the “fun” part … this are serious times we are living in.
So many of the memes coming through my timeline are great. I’m sure that when candidacies are announced, the primaries and the final 2016 election cycle is done, graphics like these will be getting better and better.
Jihad is an Islamic term referring to a religious duty of Muslims. In Arabic, the word jihād is a noun meaning “struggle” or “resisting“. A person engaged in jihad is called a mujahid, the plural of which is mujahideen.
Many observers – both Muslim and non-Muslim – talk of jihad having two meanings: an inner spiritual struggle (the “greater jihad”), and an outer physical struggle against the enemies of Islam (the “lesser jihad”) which may take a violent or non-violent form.
Jihad is often translated as “Holy War“, although this term is controversial. Orientalist Bernard Lewis claims in the large majority of cases jihad has a military meaning, but others disagree. There is no concept in Islam obliging Muslims to wage war for propagation or implementation of Islam after the time of Muhammad and his companions, and the only valid basis for jihad through arms is to end oppression when all other measures have failed.
So, now the gays have a “jihad” that will imprison pastors and seize churches that won’t go along with the gay agenda. I don’t know which gays you have been associating with but, in my neck of the woods, the “gays” have other pressing problems.
Our struggle has been personal. It is our civic duty to fight for equal rights because they aren’t privileges. If you have them, so should we. We aren’t planning a “holy war”. Please get your facts “straight”.

A voter ID law is a law that requires some form of identification in order to vote or receive a ballot for an election. In most jurisdictions, voters must present an ID, usually a photo ID. Because of purported differences in ability to obtain identification on the basis of socioeconomic status, they are controversial, notably in the United States and Canada.
Mid-terms elections are coming up this November 4. Major races are in contention … the future of the governing and eventual course of this country is pending on the results. Some factions are trying to make it harder for some “segments” in our society to exercise their right to vote.
