The plan had been for Vice President Mike Pence to attend the Indianapolis Colts game at which Peyton Manning’s number was to be retired, a gala celebration of the former Colts quarterback’s contributions to Pence’s home state.

The former governor of Indiana and his wife, wearing a Manning No. 18 jersey, left Lucas Oil Stadium after the national anthem, following instructions from Drumpf after a number of San Francisco 49ers players, as they usually do, took a knee during the anthem.

“I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled,” Drumpf posted on Twitter. “I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.”

The first rule of blatant political stunts is not to let on that they are blatant political stunts.

Pence was acting not out of spontaneous patriotism but out of blind loyalty to a president who reduces everyone around him to a sleazy character on a reality TV show.

LIFESTYLE OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS

The Drumpf family, including sons Eric and Don, have always traveled all over the world on business. Now that they run the Drumpf business interests and must have Secret Service protection, it costs money to protect them.

Melania and son Barron stay most of the time in the family’s New York City apartment while the ten-year-old finishes up school. It costs money to protect them there. The family travels to their place in Palm Beach, Florida, and Drumpf’s talking about retreats at his New Jersey Drumpf golf course.

That’s the way they’ve always lived their lives.

Protecting the president isn’t easy or cheap, and according to estimates from The Washington Post, the cost to protect Drumpf and his family is on track to supersede the cost to protect former president and his family by hundreds of millions of dollars.

“First they came …” is a statement and poem written by Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis’ rise to power and subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group.

America and Americans have been know for their kind actions in benefit of others (so they claim).

Nevertheless, this belief is shattered as we see the heartlessness in the deportment of these undocumented Americans who do not fall under the category of criminals, drug dealers and the like.

Take into account the story of Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos.

As I write this, the phrase ‘cut your nose to spite your face’ comes to mind.

Garcia de Rayos came illegally to the United States from Guanajuato, Mexico, in the mid-1990’s with her parents when she was 14. She was arrested in 2008 in a workplace raid at Golfland Sunsplash, a waterpark in Mesa, Arizona.
She was convicted in March 2009 of criminal impersonation for having a fake Social Security number, a sixth-degree felony.

PAYMENT OF THE WALL

So many things about his wall are completely idiotic

( … and remember, he doesn’t pay taxes … )

First, US taxpayers will be footing the bill for initial construction, and paying for it again when Drumpf puts a 20% tax on incoming Mexican goods.

Second, while the wall is being built, there will continue to be undocumented immigrants coming here, as a 20% tax will affect the Mexican economy negatively.

Third, his plan to deport 12 million people (that’s 8000 a day, everyday for 4 yrs) is gonna cost how much?

Taxpayers will pay for that as well.

Fourth, when all the undocumented workers the California produce industry depends on to maintain profit margins are gone, whose gonna work those fields?

Drumpf has approached the symptoms of the problem in the most simplistic way which seemed to appeal to his supporters.

The problem is not simple.

Until we address the economic conditions in Mexico, the border problem will continue. A wall will not stop illegal immigration.

Its just another Trump construction project he can hang his name on and get others to pay for it.

Not just pay for i. We will pay for it twice. If Congress pays for it now and use the 20% tax to reimburse us we pay double. The cost of the goods to get the tax will just go up by 20% meaning we pay the tax also.

To start the day …. “3D-Printed Prosthetic Costs Way Less Than Alternatives”!!

PROSTHETIC HAND

Advanced prosthetics have come a long way in the last few years, but the costs have also skyrocketed. A cheaper alternative may be on its way thanks to Easton LaChappelle, a 17-year old high school student from Colorado, who is using free online resources and the boom in inexpensive 3D printers to develop a functional prosthetic arm and hand. His projects have already earned him an invitation to the White House, and he’s now working at NASA on the Robonaut team.

It all began when he was 14, when he decided to try to build a robotic hand using Lego. At the time he knew next to nothing about electronics, but learned through sites like Instructables how to get the hand to open and close its fingers using a combination of fishing line and servo motors. The project earned him third place at the 2011 Colorado State science fair.

It was there that he met a 7-year old girl who was wearing a state of the art prosthetic that cost an astounding US $80,000. Upon hearing that figure, LaChappelle became determined to design and build an inexpensive alternative. He soon discovered that manufacturing anything the old-fashioned way was prohibitively expensive, but luckily he had a friend with access to a 3D printer. He began working with Solidworks, a 3D modeling program, and looked for ready-made parts on Thingiverse, an online repository of open source models.

This version of the prosthetic costs less than US $500 dollars and is controlled using an EEG headband that measures brainwaves.
