I’ve been in healthcare all my professional life. At this time, I’ve been retired for 4 years.

I can truly tell you, from the front lines, that healthcare is a major issue in the lives of all Americans.

You never know when any medical condition will strike you or any member of your family.

It can deal a devastating blow to life as you know it … emotionally and financially.

It’s my strong personal belief that we are on this Earth to help each other when needed.

We are not here to hurt anyone!

Trumpcare vs. Obamacare

The Congressional Budget Office report on Trumpcare is out, and it’s devastating: 14 million people losing insurance in the first year, 24 million over time, with premiums soaring for older, lower-income Americans — in many cases, the very people who went strongly for President Trump.

The C.B.O. thinks it would reduce the deficit, but only marginally, around $30 billion a year in a $19 trillion economy.

Obamacare imposes a mandate to induce healthy people to sign up, offers means-tested subsidies to make insurance affordable and expands Medicaid to take care of people with really low incomes. Trumpcare eliminates the mandate, slashes subsidies overall and redirects them to those who don’t need them and sharply cuts Medicaid.

Of course that leads to a huge drop in coverage.

I feel this is important information about what is happening in the Republican Administration lead by Drumpf and what we need to be aware of.

On Wednesday, November 23, Keith Olbermann laid out a plan to get rid of Donald Trump once and for all.

It’s not perfect – Mike Pence would be President.

But it would avert the disaster that is Donald Trump.

The 25th Amendment is typically known for handling the transition of power if a President is too ill or too dead to perform his duties, but the vaguely-worded masterpiece that is Section 4 seems to have been designed for Donald Trump or someone like him.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
