I’m a ‘smart person,’ don’t need intelligence briefings every single day

Is the president-elect – who thinks he’s “ like a smart person” – content to hand America over to the Russians?

President-elect Donald Trump brushed off concerns that he’s not participating in the traditional daily intelligence and national security briefings that presidents hold every day.

In a rare post-election interview that aired Sunday, December 4, Trump argued for why he did not need to receive regular classified intelligence briefings on national security and foreign affairs, saying he told intelligence officials to only brief him when a situation the intelligence community is monitoring changes.

If only ….

I strongly believe that many people feel this way.

I must confess that every time I read “Prayers for ..”, I loose my cool.

It happened this weekend.

When I saw a meme about this for the first time, I thought “prayer isn’t working”.

This video says it all.

I agree with Ms. Bee.

This is the first time I’ve seeen her.

I will be looking forward to many more of her thoughts.

Fiery Segment On The Orlando Nightclub Shootings

Samantha Bee is not on television enough during the week. Much like John Oliver, we only get to enjoy her presence on television once a week. And it’s been obvious that her show is top notch for the past few weeks, but this is truly the moment where she has decided to shine.

Sadly it’s during one of the nation’s darkest moments.

Bee drops the opening with Peaches, drops the Jon Stewart appearances, and gets right down to business about the Orlando nightclub attack. And she does not hold back the anger, which like Conan’s statement, is pretty refreshing for late night. Jon Stewart would get angry during The Daily Show and the passion shown by Bee here is the closest we’ve seen since he retired. It’s something we’ve only gotten a bit from Trevor Noah and John Oliver never seems to let his emotions take over.

Here we see Samantha Bee not holding back about guns, the revolving door of responses we give after every mass shooting, and the flimsy defense for the AR-15. She also doesn’t hesitate to put Florida governor Rick Scott on the fire over Florida’s lack of background checks for AR-15’s and his response for what we could do to help in the aftermath.

I can’t give them a pass either!

These people are sub-human.

They know no shame.

Among other nefarious things, both of them have dedicated their strong efforts to put down, denigrate, disenfranchise and dehumanize the Florida LGBT community.

In my humble opinion, there’s no place for you, yourpresence, your empty words of comfort, during this sad time in the history of Orlando’s LGBT community.

Pack up your hypocritic selves and go back to where you came from.

We don’t need you kind here amongst us.

I AM ANTI-TRUMP

I have been since the first time he announced he was running in the 2016 Presidential race.

Aside from the fact that I never really liked him, his TV shows, his attacks on Rosie O’Donnell, his comments about how “great” he is … I never liked the guy.

This country is now at a decisive moment in time.

He’s the proverbial “bull in the china shop“.

I can’t understand the thinking process of his followers.

Granted, we are all sick of the current two party system. Mostly we are sick and tired of the inaction of the elected officials since President Obama was elected.

It’s been eight years of “nothing”.

No significant legislation has been passed during this time.

It’s been eight years of total obstruction and corruption at many levels.

However, choosing this man is like cutting your nose to spite your face.

“Cutting off the nose to spite the face” is an expression used to describe a needlessly self-destructive over-reaction to a problem.

I am an American citizen.

I thought more of America.

I thought more about it’s people. I expect more.

I hope I’m not proven wrong.
