It’s been said plenty of times that a new election may be needed.

This doesn’t stem from being sore losers or ‘snowflakes’.

It stems from the fact that the ‘so-called president’ demonstrated total lack of qualities mandatory in any kind of leader during the presidential campaign.

In spite of some advocating to give him a chance, he has continued to show his inexperience and total lack of empathy iwth the people he was elected to serve.

There’s a ‘de-facto’ line of succession in our government if the elected president and vice president aren’t able to continue in their posts.

Believe you me, none of them are worthy to hold the highest office in the land.

Hence, be careful what we wish for!

The time to vote again should be in November 2018.

All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. 39 state and territorial governorships and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested.

How many times has it been said that the ‘electoral college’ is arcane, outdated and needs to be done with.

The fact is that the popular vote went to Hillary.

The founding fathers established it in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens.

The Electoral College process consists of the selection of the electors, the meeting of the electors where they vote for President and Vice President, and the counting of the electoral votes by Congress.

The Electoral College consists of 538 electors.

A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. Your state’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for your Senators.

The Electoral College Meets Today

I’m not naive enough to think that they will have a day of ‘profiles in courage‘ and make any significant decision that will ‘right‘ the ‘wrong‘ that is happening in the country.

I know plenty of people who have expressed their feelings.

Many have said … let it go. It’s time to accept and move on.

Give the guy a chance.

In my heart I know I can’t. 

In my heart I know this isn’t the right way for the country to go.

It will eventually affect the way the whole world will go.

I’ve tired to put into words the feelings in my heart, my soul, my psyche.

Words fail me.

Federalist No. 68 (Federalist Number 68), the sixty-eighth essay of The Federalist Papers, was probably written by Alexander Hamilton and published on March 12, 1788 under the pseudonym Publius – the name under which all The Federalist Papers were published. Since all were written under this one pseudonym, we can never be certain of the authorships.

Our next president cannot stand that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote – and America will suffer for it

Donald Trump lost the vote for president by well over two-and-a-half million votes and counting, and it’s driving him out of his mind. Because our odd electoral system gives more weight to voters in small, rural, mostly white states, the loser of this year’s popular vote will take the oath of office on January 20th.

‘The electoral college was actually put in place, in large part, to prevent someone like Donald Trump from becoming president. While Republicans have tried spinning Trump’s electoral college win as some sort of “mandate” or “statement from the American people” – it’s neither. Ignoring for a moment the fact that there are questions about voting irregularities in three key states that some think might have helped Trump win, when you get right down to it, there was no “massive wave of support” that propelled Trump to victory.

Even if you take just those three states in question (Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin), here are the rough estimates of Trump’s vote-count lead in each of those states:

Pennsylvania: 68k

Michigan: 11k

Wisconsin: 27k

Right there, If you flip those three states, Hillary Clinton’s our next president instead of Donald Trump.

Right now, Clinton leads in the overall popular vote by around 2.5 million votes – a lead that’s expected to reach anywhere between 3-4 million once all the votes are counted.

That would literally make Trump the biggest loser ever “elected” president in our nation’s history.

Essentially, he’ll become our next president because of pockets of angry voters in a handful of states who were stirred up into an irrational frenzy by a candidate who ran on a lot of policies that were unconstitutional.

One wonders why and what happened.

That has been my frame of mind since that fateful night.

I can’t and I won’t let it go!

I’m not holding my breath that the Electoral College will change the outcome.

However, I find solace in the fact that the majority of people in this nation seems to be sane and intelligent.

HE HAS NO MANDATE!

I will NEVER forget this!

I will NOT “Come Together” for a man so wholly unqualified as Mr. Trump, a man who assaults my friends, my loved ones and the very social fabric upon which our democracy is bound.

I will NOT respect a man who so thoroughly disrespected President Obama with his racist conspiracy theories.

I will NOT respect someone who campaigned on open racism and bigotry and won because our idiotic system allows the person with the most votes at the end of the day to lose sometimes.

I will NOT “hope he fails” as Limbaugh said of Obama when he was elected because I know when an American President fails so does America, but I understand that Von Clownstick is not like George W. Bush or John McCain or Mitt Romney who were all far better men than he is. I will not hope he fails because I am certain he shall.
