~Full Transcript of Oprah’s Inspirational Golden Globes Speech~
Oprah Winfrey was the recipient of the Golden Globes‘ annual Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement, and gave a powerful acceptance speech during Sunday night’s ceremony. She was introduced by Reese Witherspoon, who compared their time together on the set of A Wrinkle in Time to a master class at Harvard Business School and a spiritual retreat all in one.
“Oprah’s hugs could end wars, solve world peace,” Witherspoon joked.
Once Winfrey took the stage, she delivered an inspirational, uplifting speech which discussed race and gender and the fight for equality. She also told the story of RecyTaylor, a woman who fought for justice in the Jim Crow era after she was raped.
“For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men,” Winfrey said, bringing the audience to its feet.
“Fuckin’ Perfect” (written as F**kin’ Perfect on the album cover and in the iTunes Store) is a song by American recording artist P!nk, taken from her first greatest hits album Greatest Hits … So Far!! (2010).
It was released on December 14, 2010 by LaFace Records, JIVE Records, and RCA Records as the album’s second single. Written by P!nk with Max Martin and Shellback, the track is a pop number which encourages people to accept each other for their true identities.
Pink has stated that the main inspiration behind the track is her husband, Carey Hart. Its music video, directed by longtime collaborator Dave Meyers, delivers a message against depression, self-harm and suicide. In November 2011, the song garnered a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance.
“Fuckin’ Perfect” peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Pink’s eleventh top-ten hit single in the United States.

~PARTIAL LYRICS~
Yeah! Oh!
Oh, pretty, pretty, pretty
Pretty, pretty, please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re less than fucking perfect
Pretty, pretty, please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing. You’re fucking perfect to me
You’re perfect, you’re perfect
Pretty, pretty, please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing. You’re fucking perfect to me.

It was’t until last night’s VMA Awards and today that I went searching for the video. P!nk has always had serious, impacting messages to share in her songs.
This is another example at a time when it’s most needed.

P!nk took viewers on a trip through her long, hit-laden song history on Sunday night during MTV’s Video Music Awards. It was a wild, impressive ride. From the classic 2001 hit “Get The Party Started” to her emotional new single “What About Us,” the star singer managed to fit many of her most memorable tracks into an ambitious, old-school – and fun – medley.
Introduced by Ellen DeGeneres, P!nk took home the night’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for her decades-spanning career in the spotlight.
“Recently I was driving my daughter to school and she said to me ‘Mama, I’m the ugliest girl I know,'”
“I know I don’t have a lot of time, but if I may tell you a quick story. Recently, I was driving my daughter to school and she said to me, out of the blue, ‘Mama?’ I said, ‘Yes, baby?’ She said, ‘I’m the ugliest girl I know.’ And I said, ‘Huh?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, I look like a boy with long hair.’ And my brain went to, ‘Oh my god, you’re six. Why? Where is this coming from? Who said this? Can I kick a 6-year-old’s ass, like what?’
But I didn’t say anything.
Instead I went home and I made a Powerpoint presentation for her. And in that presentation were androgynous rockstars and artists that live their truth, are probably made fun of every day of their life, and carry on, wave their flag and inspire the rest of us. And these are artists like Michael Jackson and David Bowie and Freddie Mercury and Annie Lennox and Prince and Janis Joplin and George Michael, Elton John, so many artists – her eyes glazed over. But then I said, ‘You know, I really want to know why you feel this way about yourself.’ And she said, ‘Well I look like a boy,’ and I said, ‘Well what do you think I look like?’ And she said, ‘Well you’re beautiful.’ And I was like, ‘Well, thanks. But when people make fun of me, that’s what they use. They say I look like a boy or I’m too masculine or I have too many opinions, my body is too strong.’
And I said to her, ‘Do you see me growing my hair?’ She said, ‘No, mama.’ I said, ‘Do you see me changing my body?’ ‘No, mama.’ ‘Do you see me changing the way I present myself to the world?’ ‘No, mama.’ ‘Do you see me selling out arenas all over the world?’ ‘Yes, Mama.’
‘OK! So, baby girl. We don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl. And we help other people to change so they can see more kinds of beauty.’
And to all the artists here, I’m so inspired by all of you. Thank you for being your true selves and for lighting the way for us. I’m so inspired by you guys. There’s so much rad shit happening in music. And keep doing it. Keep shining for the rest of us to see.
And you, my darling girl, are beautiful, and I love you. Thank you, MTV. This is a really special night. Thank you, Ellen. I couldn’t love you more.

Sam Tsui, YouTube singer comes out as gay and marries partner Casey Breves The couple have starred in several music videos alongside each other
The Youtuber Sam Tsui has come out as gay, a day before he married his partner.
Tsui, who is best known for posting his music videos and covers of popular songs on his channel, revealed the details about his personal life for the first time in a vlog on Friday.
In a vlog, which he labelled an understated “coming out video of a sort”, Tsui announced he is in a long-term relationship with fellow YouTuber and musician Casey Breves.
I have been following these two guys on YouTube. Their music has always fascinated me. Plenty of times I have posted a new video by either one of them or the two together.
I was surfing the net on my smartphone and found a video called ‘This Promise‘ which I hadn’t seen.
Much to my surprise it was their wedding ceremony!
Amazing!
So touching and so heartwarming.
It’s already been one year, so happy belated anniversary!
With the 1-year Anniversary coming up, decided to finally answer some of the questions you’ve been asking since I posted the announcement video about a year ago! From our first kiss to our shower-singing habits, in this video we fill you in on some of the deepest and darkest secrets from our sordid past (not really haha).

Mark Isaiah performed with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee on their song, “Despacito,” for The Voice finals
Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are Puerto Rican singers behind the international phenomenon and No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Mark was a welcome addition to the season’s final episode.
How could I have forgotten this cover?
I was watching The Voice’s Finale and I saw this live.
It’s become a ‘brainworm’.
I do like the song.
The main reason is because it’s an awesome hit for two well-known Puerto Rican singers, each one in their own category.
Their work together in this project has become worldwide known … inspiring covers and parodies.
Go, Puerto Rico!!

~Millions Of People Are Floored When Bon Jovi Sings “Hallelujah”~
Back in 2007, Bon Jovi performed a stripped-down rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” – and it’s been seen by more than 43 million people ever since!
He sings it with such emotion, it’s hard not to tear up and press repeat over and over and over again.
It seems every performer likes to put their own spin on the classic song. Bon Jovi’s version is more raw but just as compelling.
It doesn’t hurt that the song and its lyrics are pure genius.
