The Twitterverse is having a collective meltdown over the fact that Mario Kart became a trending topic today for all the wrong reasons.
No, the beloved Super Mario-themed racing game franchise is not getting the 9th installment, not yet anyway. Stormy Daniel’s remarks attracted online attention really fast, particularly the fact that she compared Drumpf’s penis to the good citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Emily Litella is a fictional character played by comedian Gilda Radner in a series of appearances on Saturday Night Live. Based on a person in her early life, Emily Litella is a popular character in Radner’s comedy repertoire.
Emily Litella is an elderly woman with a hearing problem who appeared 26 times on SNL’s Weekend Update op-ed segment in the late 1970’s. Attired in a frumpy dress, sweater and Lisa Loopner glasses, Litella was introduced with professional dignity by the news anchors, who could sometimes be seen cringing slightly in anticipation of the malapropisms they knew would follow.
The news anchor would interrupt Litella to point out her error, Litella would wrinkle her nose, say,
“Oh, that’s very different….” then meekly turn to the camera and say,
“Never mind!”

I have a good sense of what is wrong and what is right.
Since when does anyone stop obeying the laws of this country? Since when do militias run among the many, carrying their grade “A” weapons and take over a federal installations?
I thought that happened in war-torn countries!
When I last checked, there was no “overt” war with military operation in this country.
Before posting this information, I’ve been looking at other bloggers’ posts and it seems to me that the above graph explains it to a “T”.
I will post links here to two excellent posts that will explain better than I could why this is happening.
Of course, there will be differing opinions.
I accept that.
However, no matter what, I will not accept that any group of armed men have the option to invade and take what they deem theirs by force.
This is another step down the road that leads to the broken shell of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City … There is a constituency for armed rebellion in this country that is larger than any of our respectable political and social institutions want to admit. It is fueled by reckless, ambitious people who engage in reckless, ambitious rhetoric ….
It does us no good to ignore what is going on in this obscure little corner of the Pacific Northwest. It does us no good to refuse to hold to account the politics that led to this, and the politicians who sought to profit from it.
It does us no good to deny that there is a substantial constituency for armed sedition in this country, and to deny the necessity of delegitimizing that constituency in our politics, and the first step in that process is to face it and to call it what it is.
I’m not a Transformer fan. There’s very little I know about them.
I found this YouTube video and the words captivated me. I had to google who Optimus Prime was.
There is so much truth in these words. Even if we lived in a world of fantasy, these words apply to that world as well as the world that we currently inhabit.
There is violence, cruelty and greed. Sometimes mistakes are made and repeated again and again.
Yet there is goodness, compassion, wisdom, honor, love and truth.
Those are qualities that need to be strengthened and developed. We owe it to our race and our world.
FANTASY AND REALITY MESHED TOGETHER

The race of the homo sapiens. They have shown violence, cruelty and greed. Mistakes have been made and repeated. They can’t or sometimes refuse to see. Still there is goodness in them. They have the capacity for compassion, wisdom, courage, honor, love and truth.
