With the Democrats taking control of the House of Representatives, Drumpf gained a glimpse of what it’s like to lose some – albeit only some – power.
And, when bullies think they’re losing control, they lash out in anger.
The President’s reaction to tough questions from CNN’s Jim Acosta about the Republican campaign and his immigration “invasion” rhetoric was classic bullying behavior: calling the chief White House correspondent a “rude, terrible person” shows how rattled Trump is about the results.
Just because the ‘so-called’ President’s outburst on Wednesday. November 6,  was in keeping with his portrayal of the media as “enemies of the people” does not mean it should be tolerated.

Do they come up with these “happenings” ahead of time?

They are perverse and their minds are in the gutter!!

Never in my lifetime have I seen such behavior from the occupant of the Oval Office. Then again, at this time there’s a squatter in the White House.

The petty, catty behavior of a 72 year old man-child is beyond the pale.

I see total projection in his choice of words.

Anyone who is OK with this is part of the problem.

Drumpf has banned a CNN reporter from the White House after a press conference clash, and accused him of “placing his hands” on a female intern. Tempers flared when the ‘so-called’ President refused to answer questions from CNN reporter Jim Acosta about the migrants heading for the US border .

Drumpf called him a “rude, terrible person” before Acosta was seen refusing to give his mic to a young woman.

DESTRUCTION OF WORDS

The White House is reportedly banning seven important words from its 2018 budget documents.

The seven targeted terms are:

“vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based.”

If the CDC were to avoid using all of them, it would squander limited resources, erode public trust in its actions and hobble its ability to carry out its central missions, the health specialists wrote.

In all, it would be committing at least seven “deadly sins” if those seven words or phrases were expunged from its documents, they wrote.

PEOPLE WON’T REVOLT

I can’t remember if I read the book ‘1984, written by George Orwell while in school or college. I didn’t watch the movie either back then.

Since this ‘new administration’ in the USA, I picked up both the book and the movie. I can’t believe how the dystopian world portrayed in both is so similar to our current reality.

Orwell had a divination ball, traveled through time or could see into the future.

The novel is set in Airstrip One (formerly known as Great Britain), a province of the superstate Oceania in a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public manipulation.

The superstate is under the control of the privileged elite of the Inner Party, a party and government that persecutes individualism and independent thinking as “thoughtcrime“, which is enforced by the “Thought Police“.

Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950), who used the pen name George Orwell, was an English novelist, essayist, journalist and critic. His work is marked by lucid prose, awareness of social injustice, opposition to totalitarianism, and outspoken support of democratic socialism.

Orwell wrote literary criticism, poetry, fiction, and polemical journalism. He is perhaps best known for his dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949) and the allegorical novella Animal Farm (1945). His non-fiction works, including The Road to Wigan Pier (1937), documenting his experience of working class life in the north of England, and Homage to Catalonia (1938), an account of his experiences in the Spanish Civil War, are widely acclaimed, as are his essays on politics, literature, language, and culture.

If all you’ve got is a hammer, then everything starts to look like a nail. And if police and prosecutors are your only tool, sooner or later everything and everyone will be treated as criminal. This is increasingly the American way of life, a path that involves “solving” social problems (and even some non-problems) by throwing cops at them, with generally disastrous results. Wall-to-wall criminal law encroaches ever more on everyday life as police power is applied in ways that would have been unthinkable just a generation ago.

~~Criminalizing Immigration~~

The past decade has also seen immigration policy ingested by criminal law. According to another Human Rights Watch report — their U.S. division is increasingly busy — federal criminal prosecutions of immigrants for illegal entry have surged from 3,000 in 2002 to 48,000 last year. This novel application of police and prosecutors has broken up families and fueled the expansion of for-profit detention centers, even as it has failed to show any stronger deterrent effect on immigration than the civil law system that preceded it. Thanks to Arizona’s SB 1070 bill, police in that state are now licensed to stop and check the papers of anyone suspected of being undocumented — that is, who looks Latino. Meanwhile, significant parts of the US-Mexico border are now militarized (as increasingly is the Canadian border), including what seem to resemble free-fire zones. And if anyone were to leave bottled water for migrants illegally crossing the desert and in danger of death from dehydration, that good Samaritan should expect to face criminal charges, too. Intensified policing with aggressive targets for arrests and deportations are guaranteed to be a part of any future bipartisan deal on immigration reform.

As for the Internet, for a time it was terra nova and so relatively free of a steroidal law enforcement presence. Not anymore. The late Aaron Swartz, a young Internet genius and activist affiliated with Harvard University, was caught downloading masses of scholarly articles (all publicly subsidized) from an open network on the MIT campus. Swartz was federally prosecuted under the capacious Computer Fraud and Abuse Act for violating a “terms and services agreement” — a transgression that anyone who has ever disabled a cookie on his or her laptop has also, technically, committed. Swartz committed suicide earlier this year while facing a possible 50-year sentence and up to a million dollars in fines.
