I was a young teenager in Puerto Rico when The Beatles came to America in 1964. Needless to say I was totally hooked on their music.

Their music gave me sense of belonging. Their music represented me and my generation.

To this day, I enjoy, respect and follow The Beatles’ music.

I was surprised when I found this ‘meme’, listened to the lyrics and realized how ‘prophetic’ the words were!

The song was written by John Lennon (credited to Lennon – McCartney).

It was recorded on 21 and 22 October 1965.

ISOLATED AND SHUNNED BY THE PUBLIC

This distancing and disconnecting from the ‘so-called president’ began, finally, after his awful and petty response to the violent and fatal events at the ‘Unite Right Rally’ in Charlottesville, Virginia.

It sure took long enough to decide that this ‘man’ has the Midas touch but in a foul way.

Everything he touches turns into shyte rather than gold.

Social action organization Global Citizen somehow just made Adele’s hit song “Hello” even better
In a new video published this February, Global Citizen re-imagines Adele’s “Hello” as a call to Congress to protest President Drumpf’s executive orders. The video features an Adele look-a-like wearing a fur coat belting out tunes with the wind in her hair, singing into a phone … the lyrics are just a bit different.

“Hello, it’s me. I was wondering if you had some time to support refugees,” the woman sings into a flip phone.

“We can go over everything. Like how they aren’t terrorists, they’re only frightened folks in need.”

The chorus is possibly the best part

“Hello from the other side! If I have to, I’ll call a thousand times! Til you listen to us, we’ll never leave you alone. But when I call Paul Ryan, he never seems to be home.”

This is a song that most should be familiar with, particularly if you have children. 

I watched this movie with Angelika plenty of times and this is one of her favorite songs.

Before I became aware of this song, “Let It Go” was one of my mantras. To me, this means that there are times that you need to be ready to let things so … be it because you have no further use for them, because they don’t help you grow and because they are weighing you down.

There comes a time when we need to face our reality and determine if it’s time to let go. We also need to learn which battles are worth fighting!
