You have to hand it to Stephen!
Seems he had a series of similar skits about the other candidates as they dropped from the race. I just found this one today.
I’m an avid fan of “The Hunger Games”. This kit has it down to a “T”.
It’s all in the spirit of jest and the sophomoric quality of the GOP’s presidential candidates for 2016.
The video sums it all up.
Hope you enjoy.
Stephen Colbert ‘Late Show’ Gives ‘Hungry For Power Games’ Send Off to ‘Dyin’ Ted Cruz
The former presidential candidate and current junior Texas senator was recently assured of as much when he became “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert’s latest sendoff target during his “Hungry for Power Games” skit.
~Cruz Down and Out~
“Last night’s big loser was Texas senator and half-kissed frog prince Ted Cruz, who joined the ranks of the fallen,” said Colbert, who also used part of that same episode to ridicule the fall of Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
In his speech, Colbert commended Cruz for going “down swinging,” especially the scene at the end of his concession speech where he elbowed his wife in the head.
Even as he marveled as Cruz’s determination and tenacity in winning 11 states, the perceptive talk show host chided him over his inability to “win lasting alliances.”
“Lyin’ Ted is lyin’ in the ground,” he said as a picture of Trump was raised.
“He ran a tough race,” he added. “But he was really bad at it.
And his father killed J.F.K. Pathetic.”
“As it appears in … full read/full credit”
I do not own this/these images.
No intention of taking credit.
If anyone knows the owner of any, please advise and it will be corrected immediately.
