Nationwide Medical Students’ Die-In, #WhiteCoats4BlackLives

Medical students joined the nationwide uprising over the deaths of people of color at the hands of police and held die-ins at more than 70 medical schools from coast to coast. They expressed outrage over the epidemic of police killing unarmed black and brown people, calling it a public health emergency, and cited statistics showing racial disparities in health care and health outcomes.

Medical students from more than 70 schools on Wednesday protested racial profiling and police brutality through the social media initiative #WhiteCoats4BlackLives.
