THE REPUBLICAN CARE PLAN

If you don’t know what has happened in the last couple of days related to the health care issue discussed in secret meetings, without hearings and the usual procedures, you have been hiding under a rock.

Bottom line, the Senate didn’t have the votes to pass “TrumpCare“.

The new idea, coming from Turtle McConnell and tweeted by this ‘so called president’ is REPEAL NOW, REPLACE LATER.

McConnell’s brilliant idea:

repeal Obamacare now with a two year delay to provide for a stable transition period. 

I had a ‘blast from the past‘ thought and remembers Alan Grayson, former Democratic Representative for the 8th congressional district of Florida.

Take a trip through memory lane … in 8 years, nothing has changed!

Liberal Redneck Trae Crowder contemplated not talking about Drumpfcare because it’s so “profoundly terrible that even most Republicans hate it.”

Says Crowder

“This thing is the shi**y Independence Day sequel of health care laws.”

Crowder also comes for “senior Drumpf administration anus polisher Jason Chaffetz” and his remarks about choosing between health care and an iPhone.

“That sh*t is like telling somebody that if they can’t afford their work truck payment this month then maybe they shouldn’t have bought those blue jeans back in October … the cost of an iPhone won’t get you two aspirins and a slap on the ass in an American hospital … Will somebody explain to this dude that a smartphone hasn’t been a luxury item in this country in ten damn years … you can’t hardly live without a smartphone in modern America. It’s a shitty choice to have to make, and that’s the thing. These people don’t know anything about making hard choices.”

Midterm Election 2014 Results: GOP Takes Stronger Grip on the House

Republicans have strengthened their majority control of the House of Representatives. Now, the only question remaining is how big that majority will grow.

While majority control of the Senate has been the primary point of discussion through the midterm elections, President Obama could face the largest House majority since the Great Depression if Republicans win a net-gain of 13 seats in the lower chamber today.

With House Republicans adding to their current 34-seat majority, it will possibly diminish some of the power of a conservative wing of lawmakers who have challenged House Speaker John Boehner’s leadership on issues like health care, immigration reform and government spending.

Born in 1941 in Brooklyn, Bernie was the younger of two sons in a modest-income family. After graduation from the University of Chicago in 1964, he moved to Vermont. Early in his career, Sanders was director of the American People’s Historical Society. Elected Mayor of Burlington by 10 votes in 1981, he served four terms.

Before his 1990 election as Vermont’s at-large member in Congress, Sanders lectured at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and at Hamilton College in upstate New York.

Who are homeless veterans?

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) states that the nation’s homeless veterans are predominantly male, with roughly 8% being female. The majority are single; live in urban areas; and suffer from mental illness, alcohol and/or substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders. About 12% of the adult homeless population are veterans.

Roughly 40% of all homeless veterans are African American or Hispanic, despite only accounting for 10.4% and 3.4% of the U.S. veteran population, respectively.

Homeless veterans are younger on average than the total veteran population. Approximately 9% are between the ages of 18 and 30, and 41% are between the ages of 31 and 50. Conversely, only 5% of all veterans are between the ages of 18 and 30, and less than 23% are between 31 and 50.

America’s homeless veterans have served in World War II, the Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Grenada, Panama, Lebanon, Persian Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq (OEF/OIF), and the military’s anti-drug cultivation efforts in South America. Nearly half of homeless veterans served during the Vietnam era. Two-thirds served our country for at least three years, and one-third were stationed in a war zone.

About 1.4 million other veterans, meanwhile, are considered at risk of homelessness due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing.
