‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’

IT BRINGS JOY TO MY HEART

To say that I’m an ardent fan of Mamma Mia isn’t enough.

First of all I love ABBA.

They were one of the musical groups of my time.

I ‘grew up’ listening to their music.

Time went by and the first movie came along. I couldn’t have enough of it. I’ve lost count of how many times I went to the theater to watch it. I even went to the ‘sing-a-long’ version.

Then the DVD came out and, of course, I ordered it.

Meryl Streep impressed me. So did the other members of the cast.

Well, of course I saw the prequel/sequel.

I loved it!!

Even learned about ABBA songs that I hadn’t heard. 

The story line, acting, the music, the photography, the colors … all of it, joyful, fun, heartwarming!!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you mus know by know that Jimmy Kimmel told his family’s personal story about the birth of his brand new son, Billy.

It’s fitting that this be shared because today, the USA’s House of Representatives, lead by Paul Ryan, are claiming to vote on the third attempt at ‘repeal-replace’ the Affordable Health Care Act.

Here’s What Republicans Are Voting For on Thursday, May 4

Quick wrap-up of the bill:

There have been no public hearings.

There’s no final text.
There’s no updated CBO score.
It is opposed by virtually every patient advocacy group and everyone in the health care industry.
Congress is still exempted from the new rules that allow states to waive essential benefits.
It raises premiums dramatically for older people.
It removes Obamacare’s protection against being turned down for a pre-existing condition.
It would steadily gut Medicaid spending for the very poorest.
It removes coverage from at least 24 million people, probably more.
It slashes taxes on the rich by about a trillion dollars over ten years.

This is a depraved piece of legislation

It’s a windfall for the rich and promises nothing but misery for the poor. How is it possible that 90% of House Republicans are happily voting in favor of this moral abomination?

Christmas is fast approaching. There are six days left before the holiday is upon us. This has been quite the year. As it comes to an end, we hope that this new coming year be better in many aspects.

“It Is What It Is” will feature a special song every night as the countdown approaches.

“WHERE ARE YOU CHRISTMAS?”

Where Are You Christmas” was originally recorded by Faith Hill and written by Mariah Carey, James Horner, and Will Jennings. While Jon was writing the arrangement, a thought came to him to have a child sing just the last verse. He asked his daughter Sarah. The combination of her beautifully-innocent voice and the love between a father and daughter make this magical. Our wish is that this video reminds you of the ones you love that are hopefully close to you at Christmas time.

We filmed this live at a recent Christmas Concert. It was one of our shortest video shoots/edits ever, which was surreal after spending 3 months on Cello Wars!!
