Michael Flynn’s Immunity Request Rejected By Senate Intelligence Committee

The Senate Intelligence Committee turned down the request by former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s lawyer for a grant of immunity in exchange for his testimony, two congressional sources told NBC News.

A senior congressional official with direct knowledge said Flynn’s lawyer was told it was “wildly preliminary” and that immunity was “not on the table” at the moment. A second source said the committee communicated that it is “not receptive” to Flynn’s request “at this time.”

The words are perfect. They express the feelings of many.

He will be Mr. Donald for me too!

I’ve decided I’m going to call him “Mr. Donald” from now on.

1. Because he hates it

2. Because he’s not, and never will be, my president.

He lost the popular vote and is unfit for the office in every conceivable way.

Why is this different from how conservatives reacted to Obama winning?

Simple:

My lack of respect stems from Donald’s words, character and deeds. Their lack of respect began and ended with Obama’s skin color.

Remember that when they call us hypocrites.

This is not just a random walk down country controversy memory lane

It was March 10, 2003 that Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks told a crowd in London that they were “ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas,” referring to George W. Bush.

The resulting backlash was swift and severe.

The immediate reaction was not as hostile as one would expect.

The crowd cheered, and the superstar trio went to bed without a second thought about what they had just done. Within the week country radio stations were not only banning their music, they were renting steamrollers and hosting parties to crush all Dixie Chicks albums into dust.

It was as if an entire format had been waiting and planning for such a quip.

Politics aside, country music lost a superstar act that day.

The Tea Party favorite chose a location to announce his quest for the presidency that has, so far as I can ascertain, never been chosen before in our nation’s history — a religious institution that, according to it’s own description, offers “a world-class Christian education” for the purpose of “training champions for Christ”.

Cruz embarked on his march to the White House before a crowd of some 10,000 students at Liberty University — a number that would have been terribly impressive for such an event were it not for the fact that attendance was compulsory — where the Senator would spent the first part of his speech extolling the virtues of Jesus Christ and the importance the Christian faith played in keeping his family together.
