This morning I woke up to these sad news.

A fellow blogger, awesome human being who wrote a very interesting spot and incredible stories.

Kind fellow, loving family man and veteran of American conflicts.

Today I honor him.

I changed my profile picture and the background on this blog for his own blog’s backgroud.

To all of my husband’s followers and to the friends he has made I thank you from the bottom of my heart and from his heart for coming to this site and his other sites.   Many of you only knew my dear husband from this site and did not know the true person he was some even thought poorly of him but my husband was a very loving and dedicated father and an even more than loving spouse, soulmate and best friend to me.

This was his blogs and views and I love him for being him and not giving a fuck what others thought. Unfortunately this will be the last post – my loving husband passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2018.

Our beautiful children and myself are grieving deeply for the wonderful person he was to us and writing this last post in his place is killing me on the inside but I needed to make sure everyone knew.

Trevor Noah isn’t an American.

Trevor (born 20 February 1984) is a South African television and radio host, and comedian, known for his role as host of The Daily Show on American network Comedy Central since September 2015.

He is a Black man … he knows how this feels.  

America should be ashamed but then again, there is so much to be ashamed for, that this is only a small drop in a huge bucket.

On Wednesday night’s episode, June 21, of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah devoted the second half of his monologue to his devastation after seeing the just-released dash-cam video footage of the Minnesota police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile during a traffic stop last year.

Last week, the officer was acquitted on all charges, including manslaughter.

I won’t lie to you.

When I watched this video, it broke me.

It just – it broke me. You see so many of these videos, and you start to get numb, but this one? Seeing the child, that little girl, getting out of the car, after watching a man get killed, it broke my heart into little pieces.

Like, I thought of every joke people make about “Oh, the most confusing day in the hood is Father’s Day”:

“People don’t know where their parents are, ha-ha. Black dads.” That’s a black dad that’s gone.

That’s a child that grows up not knowing what it’s like to have somebody in their life.

It’s one thing to have the system against you – the district attorneys, the police unions, the courts – that’s one thing. But when a jury of your peers, your community, sees this evidence and decides that even this is self-defense, that is truly depressing. Because what they’re basically saying is in America, it is officially reasonable to be afraid of a person just because they are black.

And that’s the truth of what we saw with this verdict.

On June 12, 2016, a 29-year-old security guard, killed 49 people and wounded 58 others in a terrorist attack/hate crime inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, United States.

Pulse was hosting a “Latin Night” and thus most of the victims were Latinos. It was both the deadliest mass shooting by a single shooter and the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in United States history.

It was also the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since the September 11 attacks in 2001.

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY

Tragedy struck in the early hours of the night

It was a night of fun and celebration at a Latin even at Pulse, a local LGBTQ night club in Orlando.

Most victims were Latino and Hispanic.

It was Pulse’s Latin Night. 

It was a horrible situation. It was a huge hit for the Latino and Hispanic communities. It was reported that 90% of the victims were Latino/Hispanic with 23 of the victims from Puerto Rico.

Gilbert Baker (June 2, 1951 – March 31, 2017) was an openly gay American artist and civil rights activist who designed the rainbow flag in 1978. Baker’s flag became widely associated with LGBT rights causes, a symbol of pride that became ubiquitous in the decades since its debut.

The colors on the Rainbow Flag reflect the diversity of the LGBT community.

When Baker raised the first rainbow flags at San Francisco Pride (his group raised two flags at the Civic Center) on June 25, 1978, it had eight colors, each with a symbolic meaning:

Hot Pink: sexuality
Red: life
Orange: healing
Yellow: sunlight
Green: nature
Turquoise: magic/art
Blue: serenity/harmony
Violet: spirit

THE RIGHT WING 

Seems to me the ‘right wing‘ cares more about themselves than others in every way.

They are about keeping the classes separate.

The right wing is a destructive force versus the left wing which is a constructive force.

I’m a proud progressive, liberal left-winger.
