Something to think about …. “How many more?”

~~April 30, 2015~~

(may I borrow them?)

I used to be an ObamaCrat and follow Barack blindly, but Ferguson Missouri and the murder of Michael Brown, changed my views of Barack Hussein Obama.

The President’s total lack of attention, he didn’t pay, to a rash of incidents involving the systematic genocide of Black Americans right here at home by racist AmeriKKKan law enforcement, made me realize Barack didn’t deserve my blind commitment.

AmeriKKKa can’t fix the world when freedoms and liberties are denied daily to America’s citizens.

Bowing to political pressure from Democratic politicians who are concerned about having a Democratic President speak out about a racial murder, weeks before the all important Mid Term elections, is NOT why I voted for Barack Hussein Obama, twice.

Ignoring the hundreds of murders of Black Americans, mostly Black American males, whom were unarmed and in a position of surrender and submission, is unacceptable to me as a Black male. It’s disgusting when a caucasian President ignores that issue.

It’s the worst feeling in the soul and heart when a President who is a person of color ignores it, who happened to campaign on “Hope & Change”, and allows that Black genocide to continue.

There are a total of 380 names listed here since January 1st, 2015.

91 names for January. 85 names for February. 115 names for March. 89 so far for April with 3 days left in this month. 12 deaths are not mentioned by name above because police didn’t release the victims names.

Think about that.

Mr. Pantaleo: Thanks …. but no thanks! Keep your condolences!!

~~December 5, 2014~~

(no mention of the fact that he had broken up a fight before this event)

On July 17, 2014, Eric Garner died in the Tompkinsville neighborhood of Staten Island, New York, after a police officer put him in an apparent chokehold, a tactic banned by the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Garner was initially approached by Officer Justin Damico on suspicion of selling “loosies”, single cigarettes from packs without tax stamps. After Garner expressed to the police that he was tired of being harassed and that he was not selling cigarettes, officers made the move to arrest Garner.

Officer Daniel Pantaleo, also on scene, put his arms around the much taller Garner’s neck, applying an apparent chokehold shown in a widely viewed video recording of the event. While lying face-down on the sidewalk surrounded by four officers, Garner is heard to repeat numerous times, “I can’t breathe“. Garner was pronounced dead approximately one hour later at the hospital.

After the incident, city medical examiners concluded that Garner was killed by neck compression from the apparent chokehold, along with “the compression of his chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police”. Contributing factors included bronchial asthma, heart disease, obesity, and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. As a result of Garner’s death, four EMTs and paramedics who responded to the scene were suspended without pay on July 21, 2014; officers Damico and Pantaleo were placed on desk duty, and Pantaleo was stripped of his service gun and badge.

On December 3, 2014, a grand jury decided not to indict officer Pantaleo.

The “Ferguson Case” …. so much more than just a “case”!!

~~November 28, 2014~~

The Truth About The Ferguson Case That Some People Really Can’t Accept

Adam Mordecai wrote the following post in Upworthy. I feel a need to share this and continue to give a voice to that African American (Black) community in this country. I feel a need to add my “white” voice to their concerns … that’s the least that I can do.

I’ve read post after post about the current (and previous – seems like it’s never changed) plight of the black young men in this country. How many have been killed? Most of them unarmed …. I think we will never know.

“Some things I have learned:

ProPublica recently did an in-depth analysis and found that black kids between ages 15-19 are 21 times more likely to be shot and killed by cops than white kids of the same age. That’s an insane statistic. That’s per capita, not total. If you are a black teenage boy, you have a 21x higher risk of being shot by police than a white teenage boy.

Also, in 2010, federal prosecutors took 162,000 cases to a grand jury. You know how many DIDN’T go to trial? Eleven.

Mike Brown’s family will never get a state criminal trial to get justice for their son. And the testimony that denied them that right technically doesn’t make any sense. Seriously, go read it.

Police have a hard job. What they do is something I couldn’t ever do. But you know what they rarely have? Accountability. In this case, the prosecutor, Robert McCulloch, always gets indictments — unless it’s a cop. He’s had five cop-involved killing cases and zero indictments. Again, five cases against police haven’t made it to trial at all. He could get an indictment if he wanted one.

The fact that this didn’t at least get a trial infuriates me. But my being upset isn’t that interesting. I’m white. People will take me seriously because I don’t have the “bias” of being black. But actual black people, who live with this every day, are constantly second-guessed because they are somehow “biased.” As though not wanting to get shot by police at a 21x higher rate is a bias. It’s a daily reality of being black in America.

Danez Smith experiences this every day. He is 21x more likely than me to be shot by a police officer. And so he wrote “Not an Elegy for Mike Brown.”

Anonymous Awakening …. depends on your vantage point!!

~~November 17, 2014~~

What is Anonymous?

Anonymous is not a group, it is not a person.
It is an IDEA. Specifically it is the idea that all of us deserve freedom, freedom of thought, of speech, of expression of knowledge and of belief. The freedom to determine the course and destination of our own lives.

If you share this idea then you are one of us.
You have likely heard many things about Anonymous, some of them are true and some of them are not. We are not terrorists and we are not violent. We are citizens of the World who bear witness the tyranny, oppression and censorship.

We are your neighbors, your friends and your relatives. We prepare your food, repair your appliances, write your books, compose your music and create your technology. We are your postal workers, barbers, store clerks and lawyers. We are Atheists and we are Religious. We are everyone and we are no one. None of us are as powerful as all of us.

We are Anonymous
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us!

White People Riot For No Reason at Pumpkin Festival, Called ‘Unruly’ and ‘Rowdy’

This graphic is in reference to:

Police in riot gear tried to move along thousands of booze-fueled revelers near Keene State College today, where parties held in honor of the city’s annual Pumpkin Festival spiraled out of control and resulted in numerous injuries, a city official said.

“The injuries that I’m aware of have been minor and inflicted by the crowd against itself,” Keene City Manager John MacLean told the Herald. “The injuries are from people throwing bottles, throwing cans of beer and lighting off fireworks.”

A fire official said “dozens” of partiers were hurt.
