I’m so happy I found this song.

I had never heard about it until an episode of America’s Got Talent Show where ‘Angel City Chorale‘ performed a cover.

What an amazing song!

“Baba Yetu” (Swahili: “Our Father“) is the theme song for the 2005 video game, Civilization IV. It was composed by Christopher Tin, and performed by Ron Ragin and the Stanford Talisman.

For its re-release in Tin’s debut album Calling All Dawns, it was performed by the Soweto Gospel Choir. The song, when rereleased, became the first piece of video game music to be nominated and win a Grammy Award.

That night, I walked the streets of London in tears clinging to the Book of Mormon like my life depended on it. Founded in 2015, Voices of Hope Children’s Choir is a non-profit program made up of over 70 talented children, ages 5-17, of all backgrounds and levels of experience. In an effort to make music available to all children despite social or economic barriers, this program is entirely tuition free.

Singing inspirational music, the goal of the choir is to uplift the spirits of all who listen and to learn positive self esteem and teamwork along the way. We hope to change the world one song at a time.

Mission Statement
Our vision is to awaken a love of music in our youngest generations, and to share the message of hope with our local, national, and international communities. We seek educate young people in the art of collaborative singing and performing and to teach them to embrace their unique God-given abilities.

We aim to enrich children’s lives through artistic excellence and to develop their personal and spiritual growth, self-confidence, and musical experience in a safe and supportive environment.

Jaxon Willard brought the ‘World of Dance’ judges to tears with this routine about his anger towards his birth mother

“It’s about my feelings towards my birth mom and how I was angry and felt abandoned by her,” said teenager Jaxon Willard about what inspired his contemporary solo routine during The Duels on “World of Dance.”

The black competitor, who was adopted into a white family, has struggled with his feelings about the family he came from and how to express those feelings to the family he now has, but he channeled those feelings into the highest scoring performance of the night.

~Steve Irwin’s family returns to Animal Planet 11 years after his Death~

No question: Animals are the Irwin family business.

That’s why we’re so excited to learn that Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin are returning to create shows and projects for Animal Planet, 11 years after the tragic death of family patriarch Steve.

According to a press release, the Irwins will be global ambassadors for Discovery Communications, which owns Animal Planet. On the channel, they will develop and produce television projects.

The youngest Irwins (Robert is 13, Bindi, 19) basically have their interest in animals and most especially crocodiles in the blood. Their parents, Steve and Terri, made footage of themselves trapping crocodiles on their honeymoon for a special that aired in Australia in 1996. “The Crocodile Hunter” became an international sensation for Animal Planet, which aired the series from 1996-2007.

Pink just released a music video for the emotional ballad she sang at the Grammys

One day after she treated Grammy viewers to an understated – read: no twirling from the ceiling – performance of “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken,” off her 2017 LP Beautiful Trauma, P!nk has now dropped the sparse video for the emotional ballad.

Pink’s release of the Sasha Samsonova-directed clip is accompanied by a donation to UNICEF.

“As a UNICEF Ambassador, I am proud to work with an organization that supports and empowers women and children around the world,” the 38-year-old said in a release.

“In honor of this incredible organization, in honor of this video for ‘Wild Hearts’ and in honor of girls and woman all over the world standing up for themselves, I am going to be making a donation in all of your names to this wonderful organization and I encourage you to do the same if the spirit moves you.’”

P!nk’s world tour in support of Trauma kicks off March 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, with dates stretching into September.
