TWEETS, TWEETS & NOTHING BUT TWEETS …. “Randy Rainbow Song Parody …. “!!

~~January 12, 2017~~

Humor will be the only way to get through the ‘era‘ that will begin in 8 days.

I can’t barely begin to imagine what it will be like.

If you follow the ‘signs’, if won’t be pretty.

Buckle up!

We are in for the ride of our lives!

Watch Randy Rainbow’s Latest Stab at Donald Trump

Randy Rainbow is the one good thing to come out of last year’s election. We are huge fans of his work, but Rainbow really outdid himself today.

In his latest video, Rainbow tackles Trump’s horrible Twitter rampages. “And although he longed to be respected, one thing stood in his way,” Rainbow raps. “A thing he depended upon and loved more than anything else in the world. Even more than golden showers (allegedly): tweets , tweets, and nothing but tweets!”

We are rolling on the floor laughing at Rainbow’s latest stab at Donald Trump. We aren’t sure if the tears are from Rainbow’s wit or from the realization that Trump takes office in 8 days.

Rainbow lists the many celebrities (poor Rosie) targeted by Trump’s Twitter outbursts. He especially focuses in on the insults the President-elect aimed recently at Meryl Streep. Streep dedicated her Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech at the Golden Globes to speak out against Trump’s bullying. This upset the tyrant, and he jabbed back on Twitter.

Many stars came to her defense and the latest one is Rainbow.

“He came for Streep! You can denigrate our country but don’t fuck with Streep,” he exclaims.

The viral video is set to the tune of the opening number from Into the Woods, a movie musical Streep starred in a few years ago. Funny because Barbra Streisand brought the same musical up when she bashed Trump on Chris Matthews’ Hardball earlier this week.

Thoughts for today, #446 …. “Into the Woods …. Wanna Come with Me? …. “!!

~~December 16, 2016~~

Or maybe, I’d rather go by myself!

That’s how I’ve been feeling since November 8, 38 days ago.

Some may say it’s time to get on with your life and accept the results of the fatal/rigged/dirty election.

I found these thoughts as I strolled through social media and have kept them.

I’ve kept them because they express the same feelings that have developed in my mind, my soul and my psyche.

I can’t give in.

I can’t accept.

This wasn’t and isn’t correct!

I followed the process and continue to do so.

I understand that some are elated and happy.

I wonder how long that happiness will last.

Regrets yet?

“I have a right to be angry. I have a right to grieve. I have a right to be scared, and to let that be known. And if my voice makes you uncomfortable, maybe that says more about you than it does about me.”

“I haven’t been fully present since election night. I wander in and out of awareness – floating from one out-of-body experience to the next. It’s hard to be present when everything instantly loses its vibrancy, when the world fades from Technicolor to dystopian black and white overnight, as you’re faced with the stark realization that millions of your countrymen disregarded a presidential candidate’s messages of hate so that they could get to work on, supposedly, tearing down the political establishment.”

To start the day …. “Your Fault”!!

~~January 31, 2015~~

This is my favorite scene of the movie

Into the Woods is a 2014 American musical fantasy film directed by Rob Marshall, and adapted to the screen by James Lapine from his and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name. It features an ensemble cast that includes Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Tracey Ullman, Christine Baranski, Lilla Crawford, Daniel Huttlestone, MacKenzie Mauzy, Billy Magnussen, and Johnny Depp. Inspired by the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales of “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Cinderella”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, and “Rapunzel”, the film is a fantasy genre crossover centered on a childless couple, who set out to end a curse placed on them by a vengeful witch. Ultimately though, the characters are forced to rectify the consequences of their actions.

A Baker and his Wife wish for a child but suffer under a curse laid upon the Baker’s family by a Witch who found the Baker’s father robbing her garden when his mother was pregnant. The Baker’s father also stole some beans which caused the Witch’s mother to punish her with the curse of ugliness. The Witch offers to lift the curse, but only if the Baker and his Wife obtain four critical items for her: a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold.

…. and that is how it starts!!

In my humble opinion, Meryl Streep makes the movie. Not taking away from the incredible acting by the other actors but I’m so partial to her.
