Remember the devastation in Puerto Rico?

Neither does the news media.

Seth checks in on the recovery efforts.

Today is the 121st day after Hurricane María battered Puerto Rico.

Two weeks before, 14 days, Irma grazed the island leaving one million of people without power.

Remember the paper towel toss?

It’s something I will never forget and, least of all, forgive!

Liberal Redneck Trae Crowder contemplated not talking about Drumpfcare because it’s so “profoundly terrible that even most Republicans hate it.”

Says Crowder

“This thing is the shi**y Independence Day sequel of health care laws.”

Crowder also comes for “senior Drumpf administration anus polisher Jason Chaffetz” and his remarks about choosing between health care and an iPhone.

“That sh*t is like telling somebody that if they can’t afford their work truck payment this month then maybe they shouldn’t have bought those blue jeans back in October … the cost of an iPhone won’t get you two aspirins and a slap on the ass in an American hospital … Will somebody explain to this dude that a smartphone hasn’t been a luxury item in this country in ten damn years … you can’t hardly live without a smartphone in modern America. It’s a shitty choice to have to make, and that’s the thing. These people don’t know anything about making hard choices.”

SHORT VACATION TRIP

I was away for a few days.

I needed a brake and the opportunity came around the corner.

We left the house and the cats in charge of relatives and hopped on a plane to Puerto Rico.

This trip was very productive in many different ways.

There was a tentative plan … many things happened that were not in the plans but were incredibly meant to be.

Our usual place of arrival and stay is “Rincon Beach Resort“.

A legal matter was settled, I met with my chosen family, I met with my blood family, I met with people and friends from my past.

I even met with the Major of the city of Mayagüez.

I lived here for 20 years before moving to Florida.

I ate, I drank, I laughed … I did more than planned!

Had fun in the sun, had very little rest!

It was “go, go all the time”!

I’m leaving a part of me behind, I left more footprints in the sand. More memories were made … I must return.

Autocorrect …. Helpful but can drive one nuts!!

Text replacement, replace-as-you-type or Auto-Correct is an automatic data validation function commonly found in word processors such as Microsoft Word and text editing interfaces for Apple Inc. products including the iPod, iPhone and the iPad. Its principal purpose is as part of the spell checker to correct common spelling or typing errors, saving time for the user. It is also used to automatically format text or insert special characters by recognizing particular character usage, saving the user from having to use more tedious functions.

The replacement list for text replacement can also be modified by the user, allowing the user to use shortcuts. If, for example, the user is writing an essay on the industrial revolution, a replacement key can be set up to replace the ‘word’ “ir” with “industrial revolution”, saving the user time whenever she wants to type it. For users with the patience, this facility can even be used to create a complete keyboard shorthand system, along lines similar to those of Dutton Speedwords, but with short forms instantly replaced by full forms.
