The stars of The Voice are throwing it back to the Rat Pack

Alicia Keys, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine have teamed up for a stylish new promo clip featuring the singers taking on retro classics in a throwback nightclub setting

The stylized black & white video opens with Levine and Shelton trading onstage banter at the Las Vegas Sands Casino before launching into a spirited take on jazz standard “Fly Me to the Moon,” best known as performed by Frank Sinatra.

Clarkson and Keys are seen enjoying the show in the audience before Levine welcomes them to the stage. The pair team up for a sultry rendition of Nina Simone‘s “Feeling Good.”

I’m addicted to The Voice.

I’ve been watching for many seasons.

As I traversed through the net today, I found this video.

It blissfully hit the strings of my heart.

PRECIOSA is an iconic Puerto Rican song.

Johnny Bliss performed this song masterfully.

We don’t know who he picks as his coach.

I sure hope it’s Alicia Keys.

I know who I will be rooting for during this season if Johnny makes it through the end.

Here’s a bit about Johnny

On Facebook, Johnny Bliss describes himself as “an up and coming salsa/rock/pop and R&B artist.”

Born and raised in New York City, he said his influences include Bruno Mars and Marc Anthony.

He’s been through this type of competition before. In 2016, he participated in the Univision singing show “Va Por Tí.” You can watch his performances on his YouTube channel.

Most of his YouTube videos feature Johnny singing in Spanish, but he does include an English cover of Rihanna’s “Take a Bow.”

He also performs as a comedian and motivational speaker, according to his Facebook page.

Pentatonix Reveal “Can’t Sleep Love,” Their First-Ever Original Single

The laid-back tune is the lead single off the famous a cappella group’s new self-titled album, which will be comprised of all original material

Pentatonix have exploded past a cappella circles to become platinum-selling superstars who tour with Kelly Clarkson. The vocal quintet are looking to brighten their star even more with the first-ever album of all-original material. The debut taste of the self-titled record came today via the doo-woppy lead single “Can’t Sleep Love.”

Premiered alongside its colorful and artistic music video, “Can’t Sleep Love” is an easy-breezy tune detailing the adorable feeling of being too excited to fall asleep when you’re digging someone so hard.

Musically, Avi Kaplan and Kevin “K.O.” Olusola give vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado a bumpin’ beat to serve laid-back, pitch-perfect harmonies on top of. The result is a sweet bop of a tune that will could fit on radio with the a cappella arrangement bringing something fresh to the listeners’ ears.

Scott added

“We’ve proved we can sing and we can arrange, now we want to prove we can write. We really wanted to push ourselves. We want to establish ourselves as original artists and show that we have something to say.”

“Can’t Sleep Love” is an undoubted an intriguing start to an album that promises to include everything “from chill, soulful stuff to upbeat, poppy craziness,” according to Pentatonix. For whatever reason, viral acts like PTX have an uphill battle when it comes to releasing original music and even with major-label backing and a passionate fan base, the act may struggle in this new sect of their careers. But as far as “Can’t Sleep Love” goes, consider us pitch-slapped and eager to hear more.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
