PUERTO RICO IS A COLONY OF THE MIGHTY IMPERIALISTIC U.S. OF A.

Remember the devastation in Puerto Rico?

Neither does the news media.

Seth checks in on the recovery efforts.

Today is the 121st day after Hurricane María battered Puerto Rico.

Two weeks before, 14 days, Irma grazed the island leaving one million of people without power.

Remember the paper towel toss?

It’s something I will never forget and, least of all, forgive!

The Boricua spirit won’t be squashed.

The ’10 ouf ot 10′ goes to the people of Puerto Rico!

That’s how Puerto Rico will recover: neighbor helping neighbor.

It’s been a ‘do-it-yourself’ affair since day one!

“So-called President’ Drumpf declared his response to the brutal hurricanes in Puerto Rico a “10 out of 10,” so Jordan Klepper at Comedy Central’s The Opposition flew down to the island with purportedly high hopes.

Klepper mostly kept up his faux-alt-rightish character in his interview with San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz and other Puerto Ricans, but he declared Drumpf’s recovery effort a sub-par 6.5 (“if you round up, that’s a 10, baby!”), given the huge numbers of people without power, phone service, drinking water, shelter, or working schools.

Still, he found the upside in this federal dereliction.

“I think I’m starting to put it together,” Klepper said. “When Drumpf said it was a 10, he wasn’t talking about his response, he was talking about the response he inspired. See, he’s always thinking a couple of steps ahead, so many steps, often, he’s behind. Something I like to call ‘trickle-down responsibility’ – people in the community, well then they’re the ones who step up, they come together and they fix the problems, they move forward as a people and thus become that much more united.

And we all know, Drumpf, he’s a uniter.” After awarding perfect 10’s to Puerto Ricans doing it for themselves, Klepper also brought back a gift for Drumpf himself.

Maybe Drumpf should accept him (or her).

LAST NIGHT ON LATE NIGHT

I really don’t know why I keep coming back to this topic.

I keep telling myself that I won’t give any more time to this clown on this spot. Yet, every time he does something that tops everything else that he’s done previously.

However, this time I’m sharing an incredible parody of real life presented by Stephen Colbert.

Only the “Republican front runner” can outdo himself.

He continues to provide unique material for “late nighters”.

I so hope that the average American sees him for what he is.

And let us tell you, things got pretty heated between all the candidates. It’s clear there are some pretty deep-seated divides in this country: From Ted Cruz’s likability to Hillary Clinton’s competence to the intelligence of the people of Iowa, these guys just couldn’t seem to agree on anything.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
