According to The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Politics, in liberal democracies, the political Right opposes socialism and social democracy.
Right-wing parties include conservatives, Christian democrats, classical liberals, nationalists and, on the far Right, racists and fascists.
The general consensus among political scientists is that “left wing” includes liberals, progressives, socialists and communists, and the “right wing” includes conservatives, traditionalists, reactionaries and fascists.

“I guess it’s going to have to hurt, I guess I’m going to have to cry, and let go of some things I’ve loved to get to the other side
I guess it’s going to break me down, like falling when you try to fly,
Sad but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life starts with goodbye.”
Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. Whereas classical liberalism emphasizes the role of liberty, social liberalism stresses the importance of equality.
Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programs such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, gender equality, and international cooperation.
My way of thinking, my way of life, my ethnicity, my lifestyle, my gender …
…. doesn’t allow for any other way of thinking.
At the present time, with the other “candidate” presented by the GOP, this country faces, dangerous times and the possibility of moving backwards rather than forward.
It’s time to think about the children and the grand children who will inherit the reality that we leave behind.
One is debating on Earth’s natural resources and the other is exaggerating on the need for oil, fossil fuels and other resources taken from Earth.
All out basic resources are inherently limited.
As human populations continue to expand and finite resources are divided among increasing numbers of people, it will become more and more difficult to maintain prosperity and a quality of life and personal freedoms will decline.
But overall, we are winning.

Thank you, Mari ….
Protecting the environment isn’t a “liberal” idea; it’s everybody’s business.
Liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, black, white, rich, poor, employed, unemployed …. you get the idea.
The environment provides life support for us all, and if we fail to recognize that, we are truly doomed as a civilization.
Truth #1
The Earth’s resources are limited.
Truth #2
Each person living in modern civilization consumes some amount of the Earth’s limited resources.
Truth #3
Humans are altering the environment
Truth #4
Humans really like to have babies
Can humanity save itself?
Saving human civilization from its own ignorance is no easy task. It will require intelligent, forward-thinking business leaders who see the long-term picture and who genuinely care about the future.
Yet sadly, there is no such thing.
Business leaders are, by definition, focused on the next fiscal quarter, not the next century. They will ALWAYS mortgage our collective future to increase their immediate profits.
Just as a disclaimer, I made this video when I was 13. We all live in such a beautiful world, and humans really are beautiful souls with such great potential, we just have to reawaken to who we are, ridding ourselves of ignorance. The more truth we see, the more we can do to change our ways into more productive habits. And it really all does begin with caring. First about ourselves, then other people, then the world. Even though we cannot take on the responsibility of the entire earth, we can take personal responsibility; pledge to our Earth, and everything on it.
I would like to re-introduce myself to anyone out there who stops by and takes a look at what I post, be it a reblog or a regular post.

I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone “out there” who is interested.
My views are liberal in almost every sense.
My knowledge is “eclectic” – a bit of everything.
Music and reading are my passion.
Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me.
I’m interested in news – reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse – the “wrongly” affected.
I want to be a voice for the voiceless.
My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need.
I’m open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
Currently working on an enterprise whose main mission will be to bring peoples of all walks of life together.
Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. The former principle is stressed in classical liberalism while the latter is more evident in social liberalism. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programs such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, and international cooperation.
Liberalism first became a distinct political movement during the Age of Enlightenment, when it became popular among philosophers and economists in the Western world. Liberalism rejected the notions, common at the time, of hereditary privilege, state religion, absolute monarchy, and the Divine Right of Kings.
The 17th-century philosopher John Locke is often credited with founding liberalism as a distinct philosophical tradition. Locke argued that each man has a natural right to life, liberty and property, while adding that governments must not violate these rights based on the social contract.
Liberals opposed traditional conservatism and sought to replace absolutism in government with representative democracy and the rule of law.
