Lady Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke Might be The Late Late Show’s Best Yet
We all know Gaga can belt—but she and Corden really had a blast
Lady Gaga and James?
No disappointment at all -in fact, thanks to her energetic banter with Corden, her ever-fabulous belting, and Corden’s decision to mimic some of her most notorious outfits, Gaga’s Carpool Karaoke segment might be the best one yet.
Gaga also crashed the Late Late Show stage on Tuesday night, October 25, briefly hijacking Corden’s monologue before the host came out on stage – in a stage of partial undress.
The two eventually reconciled, and Gaga joined the band for the remainder of the show.
Truthfully, Corden seems like the type of guy who can shoot the breeze with just about anyone – but he and Gaga seemed to really vibe, teasing one another, gabbing about Gaga’s upcoming Super Bowl performance, and briefly improvising their way through an O-Town cover.
At one point, Gaga even took the wheel.
In between, of course, they squeezed in a few Gaga favorites old and new, including “Perfect Illusion,” “Bad Romance,” “The Edge of Glory,” “Born This Way,” “Poker Face,” and “Million Reasons.”
But the true highlight of the session might be when Corden took Gaga on a trip down fashion memory lane, bringing back some of her most notorious outfits – yes, including the meat dress.
Based on her reaction, it seems Gaga has soured on perishable attire.
Lady Gaga joins James for a drive through Los Angeles singing her classics and tracks from her new album, “Joanne” before James tries on some of her classic looks and lets her take the wheel.
Pentatonix Covers Daft Punk Hits in Stunning A Cappella Medley
Pentatonix, the a cappella group that recently brought us a beautiful rendering of Beyonce’s greatest hits, has set its sights on the French electronic duo Daft Punk.
In a little over four minutes, Pentatonix’ new medley covers an impressive array of Daft Punk hits, including “Get Lucky,” Celebrate,” “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” and “One More Time.”
Angelika, is my oldest grand-daughter, you may have seen her here a few times. She just turned 10 years old this month.
She loves music, as much as I do. She’s been keeping me up to date with some of the new songs that are coming out. She knows the songs but doesn’t know the performer most of the time. I’ve trying to teach her it’s important to also know who is singing. Very frequently, we use the “Shazam” app to identify the singer/band.
Last night, we were looking at a YouTube video by Pentatonix that she had found on her own. Her music teacher at school showed the class another one of their videos. And we went searching!
As we were browsing and trolling through YouTube, we found this one. Both of us were enthralled by the presentation, the colors, the talent.
The five singers of Pentatonix — Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola — have won the third season of NBC’s “The Sing-Off,” and have released several medley covers of popular songs since.
This latest single, titled simply “Daft Punk,” coincides with the release of their new album, PTX, Vol. 2.
Pentatonix (often abbreviated as PTX) is an American a cappella group of five vocalists originating from Arlington, Texas. Their work, which is mostly in the pop music style, consists of covers of existing songs, sometimes in the form of medleys, along with some original material. Their music is defined by their own arrangement style, a strong presence of low bass vocals, and a diverse range of vocal percussion.

Last night we were looking at two music posts where I used videos by Lindsey Stirling: “Dragon Age: Inquisition” and “Assassin’s Creed”. She surprised me by asking: “have you seen another one by Lindsey called “Master of Tides“?
I hadn’t. We looked it up together and here I’m presenting it to you.
(This girl has quite a way of teaching me!)
For her new music video, Master of Tides, Lindsey Stirling wanted to do something different. The director of the video, Mike Greene, set up a spontaneous live performance and recorded the footage as Stirling’s new music video.
Those who were present in the Americana Mall Square in Glendale, CA witnessed the video and had no idea before the performance that something like this was going to take place.
Stirling combined many ideas for the creation of this video. She had a pirate themed performance with a fountain show, pyro guns, and background dancers that were dressed to look like pirates and sirens. Suzanne Bernel, Cirque Berzerk Director and Stylist remarked about the costumes and the problems the dancers had, saying,
The biggest challenge in the spontaneous performance was designing these beautiful elaborate costumes, some that had some weight and some structure to them and then having to have them be covered up. And the make up too, is how do you have someone in elaborate, Poseidon/sea siren makeup and having to cover that up to where they just look like a shopper at the mall.
Some of the challenges that the crew faced were dancing and performing stunts on a wet surface, incorporating new moves into the routine that Stirling had never done before, and designing costumes and make up that could be disguised easily to fit in with the crowd.
Stirling concluded the performance by mentioning
The reason I’ve always wanted to do a spontaneous performance is because you get to surprise people; you get to make people, hopefully, make people smile that weren’t expecting this. And I’m looking forward to hopefully, you know, making a memorable night for someone tonight.

British pop singer Jessie J has been on cruise control in her attempt at world domination, but now she’s set to extend the popularity she receives back home in the U.K. and bring the craze over to the States.
The 26-year-old has already unleashed her debut album Who You Are — powered by her hits, “Nobody’s Perfect,” “Price Tag,” “Domino,” and “Who You Are” — and her sophomore project Alive, which was restricted to a U.K.-only release in 2013.
Now, with Diplo, Max Martin, The-Dream, 2 Chainz, and more in her corner, Jessie is shooting for chart-topping success with her third studio album Sweet Talker.
One of J’s biggest hits off Sweet Talker that placed her at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 is her explosive hit “Bang Bang” featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. The trifecta’s collaboration was made possible by mega-producer Max Martin, who reached out to Jessie to see if she was interested in lending her vocals for the potential new single.

Stay With Me Lyrics
Guess it’s true I’m not good At a one night stand But I still need love Cos I’m just a man These nights never seem to go to plan I don’t want you to leave Will you hold my hand
Oh won’t you Stay with me Cos you’re All I need This aint love It’s clear to see But darling Stay with me
Why am I so emotional? No it’s not a good look Gain some self control Deep down I know this never works But you can lay with me So it doesn’t hurt
Oh won’t you Stay with me Cos you’re All I need This aint love It’s clear to see But darling Stay with me
Oh won’t you Stay with me Cos you’re All I need This aint love It’s clear to see But darling Stay with me

“All About That Bass” is the debut single by American artist Meghan Trainor. It was released by Epic Records in June 2014 and was co-written by Meghan Trainor and Kevin Kadish. The song was produced by Kevin Kadish.
All instruments were played by Kevin Kadish (drums, bass and guitars) and David Baron (piano, saxophone, and Hammond B3 organ). Musically, “All About That Bass” is a pop and doo wop song that contains lyrics of body positive themes.
The song was positively received by critics who praised the catchy beat, lyrics, and message. The song has become a commercial success, peaking at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming her first hit single on the chart. Internationally, it has topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, and peaked within the top ten of the charts in other countries.
Meghan Trainor sings about not being a size 2. And about magazines not being real with all their Photoshop. Come on now, make it stop! And this is such a great message! Show the world you can be whatever you want to be, in each and every size.
And I love this text:
“Yeah, my momma she told me don’t worry about your size She says, boys they like a little more booty to hold at night”
