KITTY IS MY BLACK CAT

We had a rough start at the beginning.

Almost thought we’d give her away.

She was really driving us insane and was tearing the house up.

Nowadays, it’s a different story.

She’s still her own “person” but she’s here to stay.

Because of superstitious beliefs in some cultures, black cats are sometimes associated with bad luck and, sadly, are more likely to be put to sleep or wait a long time to be adopted from shelters.

Black Cat Appreciation Day was launched to show people that a black cat could be the perfect cat for them, and help raise awareness about black cats in general.

JAZZ JENNINGS

Jazz Jennings (born October 6, 2000) is an American trans woman, YouTube personality, spokes model, television personality and LGBTQ rights activist.

Jennings is notable for being one of the youngest publicly documented people to be identified as gender dysphoric, and for being the youngest person to become a national transgender figure.

Jennings received national attention in 2007 when an interview with Barbara Walters aired on 20/20, which led to other high-profile interviews and appearances.

Christine Connelly, a member of the board of directors for the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth (BAGLY), stated:

“She was the first young person who picked up the national spotlight, went on TV and was able to articulate her perspective and point of view with such innocence.”

Her parents noted that Jazz was clear on being female as soon as she could speak.

“There are a number of holidays that are celebrated here in the US, that when we look more deeply into their actual history, we will find that we are celebrating a story that is a fabrication of delight for some, while in actuality, it is a story of misery for others.

Thanksgiving is one of those holidays. This is one of many deep tragedies that have damaged all of humanity, that must never be repeated. Yes, I welcome Thanksgiving into my heart and home, but what I am celebrating has nothing to do with the fabricated story we learned in elementary school.

I am grateful for this life, and am committed to sharing the Grace I was blessed with when I was born. I am Thankful and I desire to Give to others. We all have the capacity to do this. We all were born with Gifts to share with others. This is the true significance of Thanksgiving. Be Thankful, and in turn, Give to others.

Again, I share my simple prayer for humanity:
