DRUMPF’S SYRIA ATTACK

The United States launched a military strike Thursday, April 6, on a Syrian government airbase in response to a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians earlier in the week. On Drumpf’s orders, US warships launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the airbase that was home to the warplanes that carried out the chemical attacks, US officials said.

Drumpf’s decision marked a dramatic shift in his position on whether the US should take military action against the Syrian President’s regime – which Drumpf opposed during his campaign for president – and came after the President was visibly and publicly moved by the images of this week’s chemical weapons attack.

So he says … by now we all know what the reason behind this action was!

This isn’t fooling me.

A key detail of the infamous intelligence report on alleged Russian collusion with the Drumpf campaign to influence the US election has reportedly been verified.

 US officials have apparently confirmed a Russian diplomat who was working in Washington was actually an intelligence agent.

His name, Mikhail Kalugin, was misspelled in the report by former British intelligence officer, Christopher Steele, which collected damning information suggesting the Drumpf campaign colluded with Russia.

Famed sportscaster turned-political pundit Keith Olbermann tore into Donald Trump on today’s episode of the Resistance, slamming Trump for wondering whether the election that he himself won was rigged and into the mainstream media for giving Donald Trump’s absurd conspiracy theories the same coverage they would receive if they were serious concerns.

He also awaits the dexact dimensions of and nature of Mr. Trump’s desperate psychological impairment.” Olbermann rightfully condemned the media for being the “enablers of cataclysm” for their tacit acceptance of Trump’s lies:

This has long since transcended politics, transcended diversions from his corruption, or the FBI, or foreign interference, this is not left vs right, nor liberal vs conservative, nor alt vs inclusive, nor any of the excuses that newspaper and television made Sunday in hopes of preserving the political media complex.

Olbermann is absolutely right.

We must come to terms with this and do something, anything to prevent this unstable megalomaniac from ever tasting true power.

Mainstream media (MSM) is mass media reflective of prevailing currents of thought, influence, or activity. It may be contrasted with alternative media which may contain content discordant with prevailing views.

Large news conglomerates, including newspapers and broadcast media, which underwent successive mergers in the U.S. and elsewhere at an increasing rate beginning in the 1990’s, are often referenced by the term. This concentration of media ownership has raised concerns of a homogenization of viewpoints presented to news consumers. Consequently, the term mainstream media has been widely used in conversation and the blogosphere, often in oppositional, pejorative, or dismissive senses, in discussion of the mass media and media bias.

According to philosopher Noam Chomsky, media organizations with an elite audience such as CBS News and The New York Times, successful corporations with the assets necessary to engage in original reporting, set the tone for other smaller news organizations which lack resources by creating conversations that cascade down to smaller news organizations using the Associated Press and other means of aggregation.

An elite mainstream sets the agenda and smaller organizations parrot it.
