A Puerto Rican Moment …. “It Happens …. “Boricua Groot …. Guardians of the Galaxy …. “!!

~~September 15, 2016~~

This is one of my favorite movies ever.

I saw it with my oldest grand-daughter and we had  a blast.

The soundtrack was a compilation of major memories of musical hits.

I didn’t know we had a Puerto Rican Groot …

here he is!

The Guardians of the Galaxy are a fictional superhero team that has starred in the comic book series of the same name, published by Marvel Comics.

The original team, based in an alternate universe within the Marvel Comics continuity, debuted in the comic book Marvel Super-Heroes #18 (Jan. 1969).

Groot is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Dick Ayers, the character first appeared in Tales to Astonish #13, (November 1960).

An extraterrestrial, sentient tree-like creature, Groot originally appeared as an invader that intended to capture humans for experimentation.

IOTD …. “Images of the Day”, #227: Captain America!!

~~April 29, 2015~~

Captain America is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by cartoonists Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (cover dated March 1941) from Timely Comics, a predecessor of Marvel Comics.

Captain America was designed as a patriotic supersoldier who often fought the Axis powers of World War II and was Timely Comics’ most popular character during the wartime period. The popularity of superheroes waned following the war and the Captain America comic book was discontinued in 1950, with a short-lived revival in 1953. Since Marvel Comics revived the character in 1964, Captain America has remained in publication.

Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with a nearly indestructible shield that he throws at foes.

IOTD” is image of the day, a concept I came up with. I teach visual meditative therapy – or in easy terms – a mini mental holiday. For some people it is very difficult for them to get their image right. I post an image a day for people to use in their mini mental vacay. Some are serious, some are silly, and some are just beautiful!”’

Movie time …. “Big Hero 6”!!

~~December 9, 2014~~

I went to the movies with two of my grand children. One time with Angelika and the second time with Connor. Saw it the regular way and 3D. I must say it was very entertaining and it sure left off with a high probability for a sequel.

Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 54th film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, and is inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. Directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams, the film tells the story of a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada who forms a superhero team to combat a masked villain.

The film features the voices of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Daniel Henney, T. J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans, Jr., and Génesis Rodríguez.

Big Hero 6 is the first Disney animated film to feature Marvel Comics characters; whose parent company was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2009. Walt Disney Animation Studios created new software technology to produce the film’s animated visuals.

Hiro Hamada is a 14-year-old robotics genius who lives in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo and spends his time participating in back-alley robot fights. His older brother Tadashi, worried that Hiro is wasting his potential, takes him to the robotics lab at his university, where Hiro meets Tadashi’s friends, GoGo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred as well as Baymax, a personal healthcare robot Tadashi created.

Amazed, Hiro decides to apply to the school. He presents his project — microbots, swarms of tiny robots that can link together in any arrangement imaginable — at an annual exhibition to gain admission. Professor Callaghan, head of the program, is impressed, and Hiro gets in. When a fire breaks out at the university, Tadashi rushes in to rescue Callaghan, but the building explodes and both are killed. As a result of losing his brother, Hiro secludes himself from others.

Coincidence or truth??? Captain America …..

~~April 7, 2014~~

What are your thoughts?

Captain America’s outfit has three colors: red, white and blue. It also has ONE star.

The Puerto Rican flag is known as the “mono-estrellada” meaning only one star.

Seems to me, there is no doubt.

Deep down Captain America really came from and represents Puerto Rico.

There you have it!!

(Oh, by the way, I am from Puerto Rico).
