Father Of Parkland Shooting Victim Sculpts Haunting Image Of Child Hiding Under Desk
Manuel Oliver created “The Last Lockdown” partially using 3D printing
Artist Manuel Oliver, who lost his 17-year-old son Joaquin during the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, has created a striking sculpture depicting a child hiding under a desk to signify when a school is on lockdown.
The statue is one of 10 being shown across the country during voter registration drives, specifically in congressional districts where politicians back the gun lobby. The title of the project is “The Last Lockdown.”
The figures were created using 3D printers, an intentional reference to the debate over guns potentially being 3D printed.
The desks are real school desks. “We want you to feel unsettled,” the project’s co-creator Sean Leonard said.
Oliver and Leonard teamed up with Giffords, the gun reform group founded by former congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
Giffords is a mass shooting victim herself, being left partially paralyzed after a lone gunman opened fire at a meet-and-greet in Tucson, Arizona, in 2011.
This is all you need to know about Brett Kavanaugh, nominated to be the next Supreme Court Justice and father of two beautiful girls that refused to shake the hand of the father who lost his beautiful daughter in a mass school shooting last February in Florida!
This arrogant-piece of excrement who couldn’t even stretch his hand out in kindness and show some empathy for the man’s loss, being a father himself. Turned his back on the father and walked away from him.
Totally incapable of showing any empathy whatsoever!
In fact he had his daughters removed from the hearing so they didn’t hear the negative things about him. He protected his daughters while the other father couldn’t protect his from gunfire!
Sad! Pathetic! Unconscionable! Disgraceful!
Please share this pic and make it go viral.
I believe our country needs to see Kavanaugh’s despicable behavior and just how cold hearted he really is.

Kavanaugh Told Security To Remove Father Of School Shooting Victim After Ignoring His Handshake
The White House tried to say that a security guard intervened, which stopped Kavanaugh from being able to shake the man’s hand, but video of the incident disproved that account.
More information regarding the incident.
Not only did Kavanaugh not shake Fred Guttenberg’s hand, but he is now telling CNN that Kavanaugh asked security to remove Guttenberg from the hearing, and they were able to identify him based on the bracelets he wears to commemorate his daughter.

The complicit first daughter and her shady husband are partying in Jerusalem while Palestinian people are being slaughtered
The juxtaposition of images of dead and wounded Palestinians and Ivanka Drumpf smiling in Jerusalem like a Zionist Marie Antoinette tell us a lot about America’s relationship to Israel right now
I can’t wrap my mind around this.
There’s no worse blind person than one blind person who doesn’t want to see.
I can only see misery, self defense, preservation from the Palestinians and total disregard from the state of Israel. Israel has military grade weapons, has been encroaching in Palestine land, suffocating the Palestine nations in ways that I can only imagine.
In the meantime, the Drumpfs, the Netanyahus, the powerful, hawkish Jews and Zionist evangelicals take advantage of the lack of morals, values, policies and strategy of the
Opinion Columnist May 14, 2018
On Monday, May 14, Ivanka Drumpf, Jared Kushner and other leading lights of the Trumpist right gathered in Israel to celebrate the relocation of the American Embassy to Jerusalem, a gesture widely seen as a slap in the face to Palestinians who envision East Jerusalem as their future capital.
The event was grotesque
It was a consummation of the cynical alliance between hawkish Jews and Zionist evangelicals who believe that the return of Jews to Israel will usher in the apocalypse and the return of Christ, after which Jews who don’t convert will burn forever.
This spectacle, geared toward Drumpf’s Christian American base, coincided with a massacre about 40 miles away. Since March 30, there have been mass protests at the fence separating Gaza and Israel.
Gazans, facing an escalating humanitarian crisis due in large part to an Israeli blockade, are demanding the right to return to homes in Israel that their families were forced from at Israel’s founding.
TALK ABOUT DAVID AND GOLIATH
The demonstrators have been mostly but not entirely peaceful; Gazans have thrown rocks at Israeli soldiers and tried to fly flaming kites into Israel.
The Israeli military has responded with live gunfire as well as rubber bullets and tear gas. In clashes on Monday, at least 58 Palestinians were killed and thousands wounded, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Parkland shooting survivors talk gun control and conspiracies on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
~DAVID CANFIELD~
February 23, 2018
Three survivors of the mass shooting last Wednesday, February 14, at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, joined Ellen DeGeneres on Friday. February 23, to continue spreading their advocacy of stricter gun laws.
DeGeneres was joined by Emma González, Cameron Kasky and Jaclyn Corin, all of whom have made major public appearances over the past week, to discuss the conversation that the Parkland tragedy (wherein 17 people were killed) has sparked and what’s being done to keep it going and to turn it into real policy change. “You all are amazing,” the host said to them at the beginning of the segment.
The students touched on a variety of topics, including their widely-watched CNN Town Hall on Wednesday evening in which, among other highlights, Kasky confronted Senator Marco Rubio and asked him directly whether he’d continue accepting money from the National Rifle Association.
As DeGeneres continued to praise the students’ efforts, González clarified that it was her school that gave her the tools to make sense of and respond to the tragedy.
“We are thankful to have been in a school that educated us almost perfectly to handle this situation,” she said.
Kasky added that he’s felt some guilt for what it took to spur him to activism.
“I wish I had been able to be a part of this before I had to feel it at home,” he said. “I almost feel guilty … It took us feeling that anguish for us to get involved, but we’re here now. But we just have to keep going and realize that we’re here to fight the good fight.”
He later quipped, in regard to the conspiracy theorists accusing students like González and Kasky of being paid actors on behalf of anti-gun efforts, “If you’ve seen me act in school productions, you know I’m not somebody who deserves any money for acting.”

Emma González, Cameron Kasky, and Jaclyn Corin survived the recent shooting at their high school in Parkland, Florida, and now they’re organizing the March for Our Lives, an event in which people from all over the country will take to the streets to demand that their lives and safety become a priority.
I’ve missed several important events and this is one of them.
I’m trying to catch up.
On June 12, 2016, we woke up to the terrible news of a mass shooting in a local gay club: PULSE.
This started around 2am this morning. Lives have been lost, our community is in pain. Investigation still ongoing …. local police, FBI and other Federal Agents.
Sad days continued in this country.
“It was both the deadliest mass shooting by a single shooter and the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in U.S. history, as well as the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S. since the September 11 attacks in 2001.”
Forty nine people died in the incident and another 53 were injured.
Queen & Adam Lambert paid tribute together to the victims of the recent Orlando shooting
The assault, which took place at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida over the weekend (June 12, 2016), has been described as one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern American history, and left 49 people dead and another 53 injured.
Legendary British rock band Queen and American Idol star Adam Lambert dedicated a rendition of Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight Festival to those who lost their lives.
Lambert, who is currently on tour across Europe singing lead for Queen said:
“This song is dedicated to those who last their lives last night in Orlando, Florida, and anybody who has been victim of senseless violence or hatred.”
A week before the bloody massacre at Pulse nightclub, Dr. Joshua Corsa bought a new pair of shoes from the REI outdoor company.
They were Keens and he liked them because he could put them on quickly – one of those important little details for a senior resident who has to rush around a busy Level I trauma center like Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Little did he know that in a few days those sneakers would become a symbol of all that’s good and evil in this world.
It started with a text from an attending physician at the trauma center: possible active shooter and up to three injured with gunshot wounds.
A doctor from Orlando Regional Medical Center posted a powerful image on his Facebook page following the massacre at Pulse nightclub. Dr. Joshua Corsa, a senior resident at the hospital, posted the image of his brand new sneakers covered in blood, as well as a basket of bloody scrubs.
In the post, he wrote: “These are my work shoes from Saturday night. They are brand new, not even a week old. I came to work this morning and saw these in the corner my call room, next to the pile of dirty scrubs.
