On June 9, 2018, I posted about these to amazing performances which earned the golden buzzer.

I watched their performances in the quarterfinals last night.

One more time, I present them together because, though completely opposite styles, they are worthy of winning the competition and the coveted prize.

Season thirteen of the reality competition series America’s Got Talent premiered on May 29, 2018, on NBC.

Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell returned as judges for their respective ninth, sixth, sixth, and third seasons. Meanwhile, Tyra Banks returned for her second season as host.

The live shows returned to the Dolby Theatre, beginning August 14, 2018.

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT 2018

~Angel City Chorale~

Season 2018 of  America’s Got Talent is ongoing.

Ever since this choir’s audition, I’ve been so impressed by their amazing talent.

They sang Toto’s ‘AFRICA’ for the auditions. They received the ‘Golden Buzzer’ for ‘Baba Yetu’ and now they performed ‘This Is Me”.

Los Angeles-based choir Angel City Chorale made its mark on the “America’s Got Talent” 2018 live shows Tuesday night with a rousing rendition of “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.”

Led by director Sue Fink, this 150-person choir is notable for its inclusion and diversity and this time they stepped things up by engaging with the Dolby Theatre audience. All four “AGT” judges – Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel – were on their feet at the conclusion of Angel City Chorale’s act.

What’s great about them as a choir is that they don’t rely solely on their voices to entertain, but instead include synchronized movements and other sounds to engage the audience in other ways. We already know that the group is one of Simon’s personal favorites, but tonight the entire panel of judges was on their feet for a standing ovation.

BEAUTIFUL THINGS ARE STILL HAPPENING OUT THERE

Events and happenings like this keep me going.

Amanda came from the Dominican Republic with her parents at an early age.

As a family, they made it through!

Music helped her … and she made it to this national stage.

Amanda Mena, a 15-year-old who had been bullied at school for not knowing English as a child, soared on Tuesday night’s, June 19, “America’s Got Talent.”

Mena belted a version of Aretha Franklin’s classic “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” that brought the house down and left the celebrity judges searching for words.

“My gosh, where do I start? That was just incredible,” said judge Mel B. “I got goose pimples all over. I love you, I love your voice, and this is what I’m going to say to all those bullies.”

Mel B then pressed the show’s Golden Buzzer, sending Mena directly on to the show’s live rounds.

“Do you know what you have, Amanda?” asked judge Simon Cowell.

“You have genuinely natural soul. You really, really do. I mean, that’s not an easy song to sing. This is an audition we’re going to remember for a long time, Amanda.”

I finally started catching up with the recorded episodes.

This one caught my heart!

As an interesting note, Mel B was emotional about it. 

She mentioned that she had lost her father to cancer some time before and explained that the song felt as it her father was speaking to her.

I have been following this young girl since she first appeared in the AGT’s auditions and Mel B pressed the Golden Buzzard.

This child is amazing.

She’s very talented in so many ways. She sings (with her mouth closed, she’s a ventriloquist) and her charisma fills the room.

Her performance throughout the season was cute, incredible, amazing and completely professional.

Have you ever had the chance to meet your idol?

Well, America’s Got Talent contestant Darci Lynne Farmer did – and in a huge way!

In the video below, posted on September 20, 2017, Darci Lynne and her puppet, Petunia, joined a fellow ventriloquist named Terry Fator, who just happens to be her idol and a previous winner of America’s Got Talent from the 2007 season.

During the live finale results show, the two of them put on the ultimate ventriloquist act for millions of viewers to enjoy.

Petunia meets Terry’s turtle, Winston, and starts to get a little competitive. The diva bunny can’t help herself as she and Winston sing “Anything You Can Do” and fight for the spotlight.

Little do they know, they are even better together!

As they sing with each other, Petunia and Winston hit high notes, one after the other, proving that each ventriloquist has something special within them.

The song fits their act perfectly as Winston and Petunia take turns out-singing each other for the audience!

She has an amazing voice and a extraordinary story.

She’s an ovarian cancer survivor and she’s only a teenager.

Once I realized she was on ‘America’s Got Talent’, I started following the show.

Caly has made it to the semi-finals.

CALYSTA BEVIER MESMERIZES THE AMERICA’S GOT TALENT AUDIENCE WITH HER COVER OF ‘”HUMAN” BY CHRISTINA PERRI

“Human” was written by Perri and Martin Johnson in April 2013, and was produced by Martin Johnson. The song was written at the end of a long session of song-writing, and originally Perri wasn’t sure if the song would be in the album because she felt it was too personal, but because of the positive reactions to the song, she decided to put in the album and chose it as the lead single.
