Western lowland gorillas are endangered, but they remain far more common than their relatives, the mountain gorillas.

They live in heavy rain forests, and it is difficult for scientists to accurately estimate how many survive in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Angola, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

THE AUTUMN EQUINOX IS HERE

It comes twice a year and is related to the change in seasons

Winter is officially coming. We blew by the longest day of the year with June’s summer solstice, and are coming up on the autumnal equinox on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, the day when the sun passes directly over Earth’s equator.

In the northern hemisphere, this marks an end to the long days of summer and the beginning of winter’s endless dark nights. For the other half of the planet, Wednesday is the vernal equinox, signaling the beginning of spring.
