TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE

~HOW MARIJUANA HAS BEEN USED FOR CENTURIES~

Westerners have been led astray by a medical profession that requires us to wait for illness and then get treated for it.

But awareness is changing – more Westerners are taking responsibility for their health and are looking for treatment options.

Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a range of practices that use concepts based on a tradition that’s 5,000 years old.

This medicine includes forms of herbal medicine, massage (tui na), exercise (tai chi), dietary therapy and acupuncture.

Many people are familiar with acupuncture and its uses, but most are not familiar with its connections to Cannabis.

Research is confirming that acupuncture works with the endocannabinoid system, as does Cannabis.

It is not a stretch to think that if you are treating pain/inflammation with Cannabis, adding acupuncture might ease your pain.

Cannabis is one of the 50 “fundamental” herbs of TCM, and is prescribed to treat diverse symptoms.

Cannabis, called má, means “hemp; Cannabis; numbness” in Chinese, and was used by the Emperor Shen Nung, who was a pharmacologist.

I started watching ‘America’s Got Talent‘ not too long ago.

I was lucky to begin when Grace performed at the auditions.

Towards the end of this season, I became familiar with plenty talented performers.

Any of the ten finalists could have won the title.

Yet, something touched my heart when I heard Grace.

She plays the ukelele and she writes her own songs.

Her personality is bubbly, charming and genuine.

Here’s why she became America’s choice.

‘America’s Got Talent’ crowns Grace VanderWaal as winner

Fans of this season’s “America’s Got Talent” were probably not all that surprised by the winner.

Twelve-year-old singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal was an early front-runner, and she was crowned the winner Wednesday, September 14.

VanderWaal sobbed as her name was announced, and judge Howie Mandel, who granted her entrance into the competition via the golden buzzer, rushed to the stage to hug her.

“You say every person is a shining star. You are a shooting start. You are on your way,” Mandel told her.

“I love you, you are so special.”

Patrick Stewart Is Not Gay … he’s an ally.

Sir Patrick Stewart, OBE (born 13 July 1940) is an English film, television, and stage actor, who has had a distinguished career on stage and screen.

He is most widely known for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and its successor films, as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series of superhero movies (2000–2014), his prolific stage roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and his many voice acting roles, most notably as CIA deputy director Avery Bullock in American Dad!.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability. Currently working on an enterprise whose main mission will be to bring peoples of all walks of life together. To be one .... since we ALL are ONE!! The future looks bright and promising!!!
