INSPIRING STORY

With the year’s passing of beloved musician and composer Leonard Cohen, it only seems fitting that his timeless song “Hallelujah” should be going viral once again.

At the Killard House School’s choir concert in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, young Kaylee Rodgers sang a stunning version of Cohen’s most classic tune with modified lyrics. Kaylee’s voice is soaring and rich, but it’s her story that is perhaps most uplifting.

Kaylee happens to have autism and ADHD, and because she was so shy at school, she had a hard time participating in class.

The principal of Killard House, Colin Millar, explains that she

“wouldn’t really read out in class … so to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing …

It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part.”

Kaylee’s music teacher, Lloyd Scates, played a large role in helping her find the confidence to sing.

Her mother divulged that “she always loved singing, but it wasn’t until she started at Killard House School that she really came into her own. Mr. Scates is like her safety blanket – he’s amazing.”

Kevin Kern (born Kevin Lark Gibbs on December 22, 1958) is an American pianist, composer and recording artist of New Age music.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is now generally recognized as a representative of the New Age style. Born legally blind, Kern is aided in studio by SONAR’s accessibility and Dancing Dots’ assistive music technologies for the vision impaired.

Kevin was found playing “Silent Night” on the piano at 18 months of age. He started learning the piano regularly at 4 and began writing music at 8. At 14, he put on performances with the music group he founded called “The Well-Tempered Clavichord“.

Despite his legal blindness since birth, he was still determined to be a pianist.

WAR CHILD

Little girl, trying to sleep in your bed
don’t listen to the sound of the bombs nearby
just close your eyes and try not to cry
and let your brother sing you a lullaby.
And don’t listen to the noise of the guns
as the bullets flash by your door, don’t cry
just think of the peace found in sleep
while your brother sings you a lullaby.
Little girl, as you sleep in your bed
when you dream, try not to dream of the day
when soldiers came with their guns
and took your father away.
And when you wake up to a new day
looking for the sun, through the dust and smoke
try to find some hope in that terrible place
as you and your brother strive to cope.
Little girl, war is the world of grown ups
and there is nothing you can do
even if you tell them of your fear and sorrow
no one will listen to you.
But when the war is over and done
and you no longer hear an exploding shell

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers!

Its subtitle is How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved to Me There’s Life After Death and it likely comes under the category of New Age or Death & the Afterlife.

I’ve read a variety of books in these categories, but I’ve read nothing like this one.

In The Afterlife of Billy Fingers, Billy’s real sister, Annie Kegan chronicles very unique and special information she receives directly through Billy about the afterlife and his soul experience as it ascends to higher and higher places on the other side.

From the beginning, I could not put this book down. It’s a kind of spiritual “thriller.” When Billy first appears to Annie, she cannot believe this is happening to her. She also is dead set against writing a book that would “expose” her relationship with her “bad-boy” brother.

However, she’s in a writers group, and she can’t help but be curious about Billy’s continuous showing up – sometimes with material evidence she cannot deny.

She refers to going on a “cosmic journey” with Billy in this interview. Eventually, his persistence pays off, and Annie decides to write the book Billy desires to write with

her – “their” book!

TOM BARABAS

I was browsing through the net, looking for something new (to me), interesting, creative, inspirational and soothing to post “at the end of the day”. This is what I crave for after these recent days. Something where my soul can feel comfort, peace and tranquility. 

I think I found it. I would like to share it with you.

Hope that you enjoy it as much as I have. 

Tom Barabas is an American-Hungarian pianist/keyboardist. He studied classical music at the Caracas Conservatory in Venezuela before developing a taste for rock, jazz, and New Age.

~~Childhood~~

Barabas spent his childhood in Hungary, and emigrated to the US in the 1960s, living and composing in San Diego, California. In the classic style of great, onstage performers, Tom Barabas delivers a musically eloquent experience that builds rapport with his audience and invites them to fall in love with his graceful streams of sound.

An Early Start – Tom began playing music at the age of four in Budapest, Hungary. By age 12, he had attracted the interest and praise of his piano instructors and he made his public debut at the Liszt Conservatory of Music.

In 1949 his family emigrated to Venezuela where he studied classical piano and composition at the Venezuela Conservatory of Music in Caracas, Venezuela’s “Juilliard”. He earned his Master’s Degree in 1957.

What Is Spiritual Enlightenment or Spiritual Awakening?

A definition of spiritual enlightenment or spiritual awakening is hard to pin down.

This is, in part, because “spiritual enlightenment” and “spiritual awakening” have been used in so many ways to describe so many things, similar to the way in which “love” is used to describe everything from a preference for ice cream to a merging with everything. And it is also because spiritual enlightenment and spiritual awakening are such rich and complex experiences that they are innately hard to define.

Some definitions are very specific and narrow. One such definition for spiritual enlightenment is the complete dissolution of one’s identity as a separate self with no trace of the egoic mind remaining. This sets the bar very high and means that very few people qualify as enlightened. 

The opposite approach is to say that everyone is enlightened, that there is only awake consciousness. In this view, it’s only a question of whether this natural awakeness has been recognized or not. Of course, when a word describes everything or everyone, it loses some of its usefulness. If everyone is enlightened, then why even talk about it?

The 3 stages of spiritual awakening

~Stage 1~

Softening the intellect and ego: this process is done by actively exploring the ideas and understandings, essentially becoming conversant with the ideas, bringing a sense of acceptance and ultimately leading to an acceptance of safety for the individual.

The key to moving beyond this stage is to accept the safely of the person to allow this information as real and valuable.  Much of the information in ‘spiritual’ understanding is asked to be taken on faith, ultimately  given such an intellectuality lead society, most people cannot do this enough to accept their full safety in taking their exploration further. Only an initial intellectual understanding, to some degree, will lead to a willing conscious exploration going further, without this the person becomes scared and contracts their awakening and their motivation to take this further is withdrawn.

Success comes when the person intellectuality accepts a world view and regards it as safe for them to explore further, until that point, the awakening is halted.

~Stage 2~

Awakening to the inner senses.  This experience if gaining information from the ‘inner’ reality rather than just the intellectuality accepted reality is stage 2 and brings the person further along the path of self discovery.  There is obviously more information on the ‘spiritual’ path in the inner realms of reality: the search for the self does happen within the 5 sense world, it is an inner journey of self discovery. These inner senses then, bring information to the person that cannot be immediately confirmed by the intellect, requiring the person to validate their own inner communications as real.    A feeling or gut instinct is information gained from the inner reality by the inner senses.

In truth, owing to the true nature of the identity of which you are a part, each person is wholly and naturally conversant with their own inner intuitive and psychic senses, the key to stage 2 in the awakening process is to consciously accept this as VALID information and a valid process.  The key benefit here is that in accepting the information as valid and real, the person accepts their own inner identity as real and valid: a major step in the awakening process.

~Step 3~

Becoming Conscious of Self: Full conscious awakening is the final step in this process involving the bringing together of both ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ reality and conscious use of that information.  Once a person accepts that their identity in fact ‘straddles’ inner and outer reality and that they can gain valid information both aspects of their experience the full awakening process is starting.  Once again, this process can take years or moments to unfold but this awakening is the final process in the ‘soul’ awakening to itself, which is of course, the person waking up to who they really are, the soul in flesh.

This final step brings with it an unconditional change within the person where they are consciously aware of their identity as separate independent but in co-operation with the physical body, whilst being consciously aware of their broader identity.

They say when the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again.

They will be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow. 

Old Native American Prophecy 
The Rainbow Warriors are those who teach about having reverence for the Earth. A Rainbow Warrior can also have a lot of the same characteristics as a Lightworker, Indigo, Star Seed or Crystal child. The Rainbow Warriors are a part of an ancient Hopi Prophecy about the coming of a New Age. It is said that the Rainbow Warriors will be the ones who replenish the earth, when the earth is about to die, and help to connect all people’s of the world. 

The Rainbow Warriors work along side many Lightworkers, Indigo’s, Star Children, Dolphin Children, Crystal Children, and Incarnated Elementals, and they tend to share some of the same characteristics as them. 

Right now there are very few Rainbow Warriors upon the earth. The Rainbow Warriors that are here are known as the “Scouts”, meaning that they are here to “check things out” before more of the Rainbow Warriors start to emerge. 

The Rainbow Warriors have never been to this earth before, but they do “borrow” past life memories from others who have agreed to allow them to incarnate upon this earth with their Past Life Memories – and many of them will borrow these memories from Pagan Elders who have recently died.

The Hopi Indians are working in spirit right now with the Rainbow Warriors, and they have asked for their assistance upon this earth. Also many Rainbow Warriors might be born into Native American (or American Indian) tribes or other indigenous cultures, in order to help bring back some of the old ways. 

This is also true for some of the Rainbow Warriors who will study The Traditional Fairy Faith, and who will assist us in learning more about magick and healing from the Fairies & Elementals. 

The Rainbow Warriors will also bring us healing energies from the Rainbow (they will be working closely with the Rainbow Fairies). They will teach us more about our own Inner Rainbows, known as our Chakras, and how our Inner Rainbow connects us to the Divine. They will also teach us to not only treat the earth better, but how to treat our bodies better by working with the Earth. 

They will teach us, as we already know, about the Importance of Fresh Air, Sunlight, Clean Water, and Pure Organic Food. They will also teach us more about Organic Gardening.

They will teach us how we can work as a community – as a whole planet – to feed one another so that no one ever has to go hungry again. 

Many of the Rainbow Warriors will become Herbalists, Energy Healers, and Organic Farmers. They will become some of our Medicine Men and Women.
